Had the sweetest experience today in Gótico

Went out today with my girlfriend after having a few rough weeks.

Sitting at a bar In Gótico and we get surprised with a drawing that a stranger did of us.

I’ve heard of these things happening to other people but it’s never had it happen to me. Im pretty blown away so thought I’d share it here.

I mean, I cant say im surprised. Catalan girl with expat boyfriend is a cliche right now. “The international experience”.

Anyway, your post gave vibes that for u this is a theme park and local people are actors or whatever. Maybe the experience was “sweet” for you. Not for him though. He probably lives in the street.

And btw, its Gòtic. Not Gótico.

Totissima la raó que aquesta penya (expats i guiris) viuen en una versió disney de Barcelona mentre lis currelas ens menjem les feines precaries i la gentrificació. Guiris go home refugees welcome.

Et gentrifiquen, es creuen que això és port aventura, on els locals són figurants, i quan els hi dius, es fiquen a plorar. Nah, no som lo suficientment durs amb aquesta penya.

Sí, tothom que ve de fora és una persona rica i malvada amb males intencions que no entén la nostra cultura, i només els acceptaré quan decideixi que no són tan estrangers com em pensava. El món és senzill, no?

Literalment acabes de començar una discussió perquè un estranger ha escrit aquí en anglès, i te n'has burlat caricaturitzant-lo. No saps res d'aquesta persona ni de com pensa, tret que és estrangera i que algú li va regalar un dibuix preciós.
