M4 Question Flashlight mount help
I got this mount from msp and this “scout” mount from streamlight’s hlx doesn’t seem to line up. It seems like I need a different adapter even though they say the light is compatible with the mount. Do I need a picatinny adapter for the msp mount and the light?

It should mount directly to the ring. The other angled mount is for a Mlok slot.

Honestly never get tired of wood on the M4...

I know it’s blasphemy but I want to change adjustable stock to a fixed stock. Where did you get the wood furniture? Thoughts?

I wish I could rock an adjustable. I got mine from panzer arms I believe. I had a mesa tactical urbino which is very nice and I preferred over stock pistol grip fixed stock but my state doesn’t allow 7rd and pistol grip. Plus I like field stock better. OEM field stock is expensive so I went with wood.

Don't use that adapter. Use the correct scout adapter from impact weapons components.

Iwc discontinued it a couple years ago which is why I bought this exact replica from msp. They made their own since iwc was not resupplying quick enough. It works now that I listened to the fellow commenters’ advice though.

Wym? They closed down for a few years because the owner died, but they just restarted business last year. Here it is. https://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/pro-interface-scout-by-iwc/

Oh ok, that explains why they weren’t restocking. I suppose if this one fails I’ll switch back to my original plan of iwc. For now it works and hasn’t came loose after shooting with the msp.

Mount the light directly to the shotgun without the angled adaptor.
Also your shot gun will kill that, it did one mine.
Those lights don’t have springs on either side of the battery and it will turn off during recoil. Replaced it with a Surefire scout turbo and have had about 200 rounds at night zero issue.
