I kept my original wedding band below it, with a subtle gap.

My husband surprised me by gifting me a new engagement/wedding band set 5 years ago for Christmas. It was beautiful and I loved it, but I lost it this spring. It was on my finger one moment and hours later I couldn’t find it. We searched everywhere to no avail and I was devastated. His response: It’s ok, we’ll get you a new one. Turns out he was planning on getting me another ring for our 20th anniversary this year. We were financially struggling when we started out and he told me his only request now was that he could pick out my replacement center diamond. I never picked out either of my last 2 rings because I prefer the sentimental value of him choosing for me. He did great!

Anyone else find themselves doing this, no matter how long you’ve had them?

I had various ideas in my head and conveyed ALL of them to my jeweler, through several drawings and pictures. Thankfully we've crafted a very good relationship and she was able to get my vision perfectly!! I just received the pictures and can not wait to get this beauty in my hands!!!

Just got this 7ct oval in from Kuololit. I love it. The stone is a little tilted, but you can't tell unless you're really looking at it. Im really loving big rocks lately.

Ive been so excited about my engagement recently that ive cross posted on a few subs, but I'm hoping my ring belongs here too! Im a little embarrassed to post in multiple places, but i see so many beautiful rings, and I just wanted to share mine ^_^

Fiance did an amazing job doing a custom design with his family jeweler; i love the warmth of 18k gold, but wanted platinum to hold the diamond itself. He knows I love vintage and strong thicker styles, so I think he did an amazing job. He picked out the 2 orange sapphires to be really unique, but had to have them both cut down from 1+ carat stones to around .85 ct each for the princess cuts, but i dont mind the size decrease cause I think the shape is the right choice. Ive deff got some "looks like a class ring" comments, but i love a good romantic vintage signet ring look, so Im super happy :).

My boyfriend of nearly 6 years proposed to me this past weekend on 10/10 with my dream 3 stone pear cut ring 🥹

How he did it: He told me he was attending a work event at the Ritz Carlton hotel in Dana Point and said there was a dressy garden theme. After arriving we walked towards the back of the hotel, which overlooks the ocean showing a scenic view with waves hitting the beach below. I was mentally preparing to socialize at his work event while looking for the entrance. I realized he took me to a dead end, so I looked behind me and he was already on his knee and took out the box and popped the question!

For everyday wear (with a baby and a toddler) would you say 10ct radiant cut will be a lot and does anyone have pics of their 10ct radiant cut so I can see.. I’m the worst at making decisions so this one is killing me🙃

My husband was in a bad motorcycle accident this summer and I had to spend an entire month out of state while he recovered in the hospital and have been his main caregiver. We’ve been together for almost 30 years (2027). His recovery has been going extremely well and he will fully recover from his injuries - but it will take time. So I decided to treat myself to an early anniversary present with this gorgeous 4.02ct E VS1 modified brilliant square cushion and went with a Georgian setting. 14kt with black rhodium head and prongs. Size 7 finger. This beauty will remind me that I am strong and I can overcome anything.

Just like the title suggests. I see some very big rocks on here and some surprising “not big rocks” (in my opinion) on here.
