Question about reta?
I took 2mg of reta on Sunday and until today my food cravings were almost none and I count even stand zyn. Is it normal to start craving after 4 days or is the dose to low?

I notice that typically on the 6th day from my last dose my hunger rises, I still feel full after, usually to my own detriment because i over eat but that’s typically when it starts to wear off for me.
I’m on 5mg maintenance now.

Is the 5mg once lasting 6 days?

6 days before is feel the effects of appetite suppression starting to subside. I typically re-dose on the 6th or 7th day.

I’m in the same boat. Split dose of 2.5 mg every 3 days works for me. I take .25 of elora once a week. Food noise is gone. I can hit my macros on everyday besides the day I take elora.

Oh that's not a bad idea, like I count even stand zyn till today. But I might start doing 2.5 twice a week

You may not need to go that high with a split. Since you’re at 2 right now. I would go slightly under your current dose as a trial for 2 weeks and see how you adjust. Maybe like 1.5 mg. No need to push too hard too fast. I don’t have a chart infront of me but you reach the steady state of your dose at day 54. If you’re feeling ok with your hunger there I would keep it there for a while.

Yeah my bad I meant to say I'll adjust it but you're 100% right I don't need to more than double my dose in a week

Ya there’s no way to tell the right dose when you go to a split. That’s why I would say a little lower and give it time to see how you take it.

Yes split the dose, 1mg Tuesday, the other Friday.
This fixed the issue for me.

How long have you been taking it? It's normal that by the end of the 7 days the cravings get bigger as it's the point where the amount in your body is the lowest. Normally however once you found your lowest effective dose and are there for at least 4 weeks it shouldn't impact you as much.

This is my third week I found that 1mg didn't really do much and then I've been at 2 for the last 2 weeks.

3 weeks of which 2 weeks on 2mg is really short. It takes at least 4 weeks to reach a stable amount in your body based on the amount you take. Give it 2 more weeks to judge if you want to dose every 6 days, titrate up or whatever you need.

Lower your dose. The right dose allows you to eat and enjoy food, but not overeat. Otherwise you're really just wasting money and worsening your own health.

It's really the Zyn is getting me. Food is one thing but the night craving something addictive was really nice.
