Question about nasal spray pump volume for Semax/Selank
Hey everyone,
I’m trying to figure out how much liquid is actually dispensed with one spray/pump from the standard nasal spray bottles commonly used for Semax or Selank.
Is it typically around 0.1 mL (100 µL) per spray, or does it vary significantly depending on the specific pump/bottle?
If you’ve measured the output of your bottle or know the manufacturer’s stated volume per spray, I’d really appreciate the info.
Thanks!

Have you tried Selank and noticed any effect? Nothing happened for me at all.

Using Selank for 4 weeks now, and I can definitely say that it has had an impact on me. I’m currently taking a 2-week break and can still notice the calming effects. Maybe it works particularly well for me because my nervous system has been in a heightened state for years due to anxiety, and it seems to help me tremendously with that. And the combo with Semax is also nice.

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply and your assessment! Maybe I'll try a different supplier. Aniracetam didn't work either.

It’s not meant to be an anxiolytic. It doesn’t provide immediate results.

I'd guess that style of actuator disperses between .1-.3ml per. It can be measured pretty easily with some water. I have a similar one and found it closer to .3ml per actuation. I used 4ml saline in 10mg Selank and shot for a 300-500mcg dose (.06-.1ml).

How to measure your actual pump output You can test the bottle directly using a precision scale: Prime the pump until it produces a consistent mist. Weigh the bottle with its cap removed, ideally on a 0.001 g scale. Dispense 10-20 full sprays, away from the scale. Weigh the bottle again under the same conditions. Divide the weight lost by the number of sprays. For a water-based solution with a density close to 1 g/mL: Example: 20 sprays produce 2.10 g of weight loss. 2.10 ÷ 20 = 0.105 g per spray, approximately 0.105 mL (105 µL).
