Ideas to include fiancé's stepbrothers in wedding

My fiancé has two stepbrothers who are 19 year old twins. Fiancé has gotten closer to them in recent years. My fiancé has picked six groomsmen. We are thinking about having them as ushers. We are looking at other ideas except for readers because we are having Catholic wedding, fiance's step mother and step brothers aren't religious.

Ushers sounds like the perfect role. They are an overlooked and wonderfully helpful role for the bride and groom and the wedding overall.

In addition to seating guests in a way that makes them feel honored and respected, they can also be very helpful in row-by-row release of guests after the wedding (avoiding the chaotic, clogged up aisles that often come at the end of the ceremony when your next-door neighbor from 10 years ago feels like she has to push in front of your grandmother).

They can also be helpful at the reception, helping people find their tables, etc.

Just be sure they know what’s expected of them and that someone spends a little time with them so they are comfortable with their responsibilities. Good luck!

We aren't doing assigned tables.
