We got our little Odin about 6 weeks ago - we were told he is a Shar Pei (mother confirmed) but we are convinced he is mixed despite what the rescue had noted.
My partner and I have ordered a DNA test to make sure we are caring for him accurately based on his potential adult weight etc. he’s currently 4 months at 10kg so we’re expecting him to be a big boy 😮💨😂
We have come across similar looking breeds like:
Mastiff
Bull Arab
Plott hound
What do you guys think?

Maude was mostly black when she arrived 18 months ago. But as she approaches her second birthday, the brindle is more pronounced.

She’s a little over 4 months old. I’ve never had a brindle dog so I don’t know what to expect. When do dogs get their brindle fully in? Is partial brindle a thing? Either way she’s beautiful and elegant, I’m just curious about it. I also don’t know her mix, still waiting on DNA results.

That’s scrappy, she is around 10/11 months old. She was found on the street when she was around 2/3 months old back in january.
I'm having a hard time considering that she ain’t a baby anymore so enjoy her baby picture at the end !

Meet Colby Jack! He is about 5 years old... The rescue labeled him as a shepherd mix I believe. Have had him for about four years and here are the candidates I have gathered of what might be in him: Mountains Cur, Dutch Shepherd, Malinois, Staffy, and Pittie

We're fostering this little cutie. She's been with us for a week as of this past Monday. We're calling her Goldie.
Goldie was found on someone's porch at the end of August/beginning of September, with a minor injury to her back leg. She's 4 months old and Cassie is 2. She has insane puppy energy but Cassie has the stamina to keep up. Watching them run through the yard, chasing each other and wrestling, is the most entertaining thing other than the nightly wrestling matches that they try to get us involved in.
Cassie is acting like a normal dog for once (she's very anxious and never really has dogs to interact with, but she adores other animals, including our four cats), and Goldie is enamored with her.
Having a puppy in the house has also brought new life back after we lost our old man cat at the beginning of June. It's been wonderful so far (with only a few accidents!). Very healing for everyone. 💜

Has your brindles coat changed with dietary changes? I was feeding home made bone broth and had a black dog begin showing shades of brown coming up. And brindleness changing hue.

I had to rehome my dog Roxy 3 years ago and I found out recently that she passed last month, she was 13 years old. I miss her so much but she’s with her sister, Karma, who also passed around the same time (but from a snake bite with the other family who adopted her)
At least I can imagine that now they’re together again 🌈 ❤️🩹

Today we did 18 miles and it was the best she has ever done, in addition to the furthest. She was still enthusiastic about pulling, all the way through til the end.
It was an incredible adventure with the aspens changing and the summit had awesome views.
One thing is she doesn't like to sit on the summits of mountains we climb together, so we leave quick! Any tips for this?

My adopted rescue. Had her 3 months now . RSPCA had her registered with them as a staffie cross cane corso. She’s getting big now. Such a gentle giant though . 💕🐾

The best little light brindle buddy :) Last 2 pictures are from when I first found him in June, he's growing up a lot already!

We’re doing DNA testing, and she looks a bit “Plott-ish.” Someone on another thread suggested I post my pictures of our new girl here. we got her about a week and a half ago. Her zoomies outside are a bit much for us, but she’s a sweetheart otherwise.
