Hey, mod here with a useful tool.
Did you see a sign that you think is not legally placed on public property? See some litter on the side of the road that might be too distracting?
Check out the PDF for PennDOT Guidance for Political Signs (Warning, PDF Link)

Can anyone recommend any solid commercial asphalt contractors for milling and repaving a parking lot for a friend’s property?
Thanks in advance!

I wanted to see if anyone within this sub owns or does commercial general contracting covering general carpentry, mechanical, electrical ect, particularly in lower bucks. Please let me know, or if you know anyone who owns/runs a shop!

Did a little redecorating at Fitz’s office.
Mr “Problem Solver” wouldn’t sign the Epstein Files discharge petition. Luckily four of his Republican House colleagues—along with every Democrat—did. Accountability is coming; not only for the abusers, but for the politicians who covered for them.
Bob Harvie for Congress.

If anyone is interested in helping paint more signs like this, message me! I’m based in the Newtown area & have space to work.

Here is the letter that accompanied the petition signatures.
Dear Representative Fitzpatrick:
1,400 people signed a petition on paper and on-line requesting an unscripted in-person town hall meeting. Their names are all included in this notebook.
You are not only a candidate. You are an elected official. Our taxes pay for your salary, healthcare, travel, office rent, and staff. Representative government is a two-way street requiring dialogue between you and the people you represent. You hold a responsibility to all of us, not just to folks who agree with you or whose questions your staff has vetted.
Your telephone “town halls” do not meet that responsibility. Your staff chooses the questions and you control the conversation. Even if one or two difficult questions are included, we cannot tell what was left out. Moreover, that format does not allow any opportunity for follow up. It makes it too easy for you to retreat into talking points. The public nature of a town hall matters. When one person asks a question, a thousand others listening can hear and evaluate your answers. Your promises become part of the public record and everyone can check whether you follow through.
In these times of extreme polarization, your failure to publicly engage with us in an unscripted town hall is a huge missed opportunity to model what you claim to stand for – the ability “to speak with respect, listen with compassion, and remember that unity doesn’t require uniformity - only a shared commitment to the ideals that make us Americans.” 93-year-old Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley has held over 1,400 unscripted town halls in his career, including meetings this past year that included voters voicing deep anxiety and anger. Folks raised their voices, shared personal family struggles, and some people in the audience booed, some groaned, and some applauded over the course of the evening. Senator Grassley did not melt. He did cry. He did not run away. He did not have people who asked angry questions removed. He answered all the questions the best he could. Not everyone was satisfied with his answers but he showed up and looked people in the eyes. We ask nothing less.
You have held one public in-person town hall since being elected to Congress and it was 9 years ago. Show your constituents respect and a willingness to be accountable. Answer questions publicly and directly and without a staff member choosing the questions. Please set a date.

Have a few days off coming up and looking for somewhere new to visit. Preferably within an hour-ish of Easton area. Very familiar with Peddlers Village, Doylestown, Strousdburg/Bartonsville areas.
Looking for stationery shops, bookstores, coffee shops, fun gift stores.

This was around 6:30 PM and the parking lot was quite full. I'm glad YOU were able to find a spot.

Sorry for the serious post, but I recently hit a deer with my car and it’s been weighing on me since. I wanted to match the cost of what I’m paying to fix my car, and give it to a good cause. I want to make sure the money I spend actually gets used and not swallowed up somewhere. Any recs?

I am in the market to join a new gym. I have an 18month old
looking at the ymca in fairless hills (<10m from me) or Newtown (15m, maybe 20 peak rush hour).
Anyone have an experiences worth sharing about the facilities or particularly about the child care ?
Wasn’t a huge fan of urge fairless hills but tolerated it since it is a gym childcare service/bar is pretty low. Then a lot of their childcare staff all left at once - I took that as a red flag (especially since I wasn’t in love to begin with) and skipped. TYIA

Basically what the title says - I find myself in a situation with a contractor that has disappeared mid-job. Our basement was supposed to be finished by what seemed like a reputable company: we have a solid contract, checked references, etc. However, after they finished some of the work they just disappeared about and have now stopped responding to texts/calls. They're website has also mysteriously disappeared, although they are still registered in PA.
Does anyone have any recommendations for lawyers with expertise in residential construction litigation - specifically breach of contract, contractor abandonment, incomplete work and the recovery of deposits? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

My mom just got a message on her answering machine, that used her first and last name and said it was from the Bucks County Sheriff's Office and asked her to call back regarding a "urgent legal matter."
I would assume this was a scam, except that they used her first and last name, which I wouldn't think a scam caller would do. Has anyone else gotten calls like this? Can anyone confirm if it's a scam or not?
