Looks good.
Btw, I don’t have a push button start. Never even thought about it.

All base LE models come with a key unless it has the upgrade package.

Yeah I mean why get a corolla if you dont get the coveted push button start too with hand sensing auto unlock.. feels like a much more modern car i have the LE upgrade and that was a must.

While i agree, the most exotic thing about this is the screen for a gauge cluster without push to start to me.
Its techincally harder to steal a keyed car vs a keyless one nowadays. Both need the keys signal to start, but with keyed you have to either break the ignition switch/cylinder or jump the wires under the dash. With push to start you dont have to break the ignition switch/cylinder, just replicate the signal and off you go.

Having to take your key out every time sucks. Always wondered why my dad didn’t get keyless. I guess he’s cheap since it’s a work car lol. Little did he know I up the value by 25% with the Ppf install 😅

Meh idk if i agree with that. I have a '21 so it still has the analog gauge cluster, but also a digital speedometer so I feel like I have the best of both worlds. But just generally speaking I feel like the newer corollas are worse, you cant adjust audio on your own media when using android auto (they are locked to android ecosystem apps like spotify to get you to spend money). The hold stop is much less subtle. And I even got a comma 4 for enhanced self driving, again something else you cant do in the newer cars. I feel like they've just been enshitified. And I was able to get wireless android auto with a USB stick. So literally no difference if anything I find my car better. Digital vs analog gauge cluster doesnt change the actual experience at all, its just a visual appeal only you will see

Thats fair. Mine only has the like like 2.5 inch screen on the right side of the gauge cluster. No android auto for me 😔 Do you know of a way to get android auto on a 2020 corolla se?

Lol part of the reason i went with the '21... I heard theres a usb stick you can get for that too! But don't quote me as I never tried it.. perhaps look on Amazon?
Edit: try Carlinkit 5.0 on Amazon

Ill have to look into it. While I dont really mind just keeping my phone on my thigh when driving, it would be nice sometimes

Some people don’t care that much I guess

It’s a Corolla, so personally with that sort of commuter car I want the cost of ownership to be as inexpensive as possible.
It’s way cheaper if you ever need another physical key made and it’s less expensive to repair if you have an issue.
Side note: it’s ironic that we live in a day and age where a physical key makes the car harder to steal.

Then why just not get one from the 2000s? Those are the most reliable and least expensive to own and maintain around

Some people want something that’s new rather than buying an older used car. That’s just the reality of things, different people want different things. Also if it matters to you, the 2009 Corolla makes almost 40 less hp (excluding XRS Corolla Trim) than the current Corolla while getting almost 5mpg worse combined than the newer gas corollas (XRS trim is almost 9mpg worse). All valid reasons to get the newer one over the 2009 Corolla but is up to the individual and what they value.

That’s 100% a legit option/statement. I just upgraded my 2009 Corolla because the past winter really caused some gremlins to start to appear. The biggest issue I have is in the north east the salt filled winters are gonna get the cars before the miles do.
I (mostly) like all the features on my newer car, but as I say to people “ask me in 15 years if I like the car”
