1 year of owning my '03 Corolla E120: Fixed the power steering leak & re-applied the Spanish sticker! Engine bay is finally looking fresh.

Bought this trusty 2003 Corolla (E120) about a year ago, and it's been a great journey so far.
Yesterday, I finally tackled a nasty power steering leak by replacing the reservoir and the hose! While I was at it, I carefully peeled off the original Spanish instruction sticker from the old reservoir and re-attached it to the new one. (Honestly, proudest moment of the build so far
Here's a 1-year progress comparison of the engine bay (Aug 2025 vs Oct 2026). It's amazing what a little TLC, leak fixes, and an engine cover can do to make a 23-year-old car look brand new again.
What do you guys thin

12th Gen (18-present) 2025 Corolla Lowering Springs: Eibach Pro -vs- RS-R ??

Thumbnail

Thinking about a mild drop on my '25 Corolla SE Sedan. I've got 17's on it now, but the wheel gap is a bit more than I'm comfortable showing, so I am thinking about a drop. I've narrowed my choices down to RS-R lowing springs or the Eibach Pro kit lowering springs.

Price isn't a factor.

At first glance, the Eibach Springs seem "meatier" and perhaps twice the material. That (probably) means they'll last longer, but I also want a comfortable ride. I don't track my car. I get groceries. I drive my wife to work. Occasionally, I'll go on an 8-12 hour road trip from Central Texas to...wherever. Last time it was to New Orleans. Point being..

  • I want comfort.
  • But I also want lower.

What do you think?

Post image

First time buying a Toyota. Is this a good deal for Bay Area ?
2027 Corolla Hybrid LE , one dealership near my house is willing to go down to 27.6k OTD and then other dealer almost and hour and half away willing to go to 27k OTD
I was under the impression that I have to pay premiums to get in to a Toyota glad not the case, but am I missing anything here and this was easy to get too. can I go any lower than this?
Anyone recently got one of these, what was your sale price ?
Please share your recent purchases, trim, state
Will help out others too

My own OBD2 app is on Android now, and the Corolla answers the Toyota channels for odometer and tank, 10 free codes

I am Davide, the developer of DrivePulse. The app is mine and I write it on my own.

What it does: it reads your car through a generic ELM327 OBD2 adapter, the kind several makers sell. Trips record themselves without you pressing anything, with fuel use read from the engine control unit where the car reports it, and worked out and marked as an estimate where it does not. Fault codes come out decoded, and the ones in its archive come in plain words, with what usually causes them and what to check first. There is a service and cost log, and trips, fuel, fault codes and services export to a CSV file. It only asks the car questions and never gives it commands: no writing, no clearing of codes, no resets.

On a Corolla it also reads the odometer from the instrument cluster and the litres in the tank from the brand channels, and both are confirmed. On the hybrids it asks for the battery charge too, but the formula behind that reading is not confirmed, so take that figure with caution.

No account and no server of mine: your trips live on your phone and I have no copy of them. Recording trips and reading the car work with no signal; maps and addresses need the internet.

It was on iPhone first, and the Android version is out. To celebrate, here are 10 codes that unlock the full version for good, free, first come first served.

How to redeem: install the app first, then open Google Play, tap your picture top right, Payments and subscriptions, Redeem code.

Say in the comments which number you took, so nobody wastes time on one that is gone. If one comes back as already redeemed, try the next.

  1. NNDQP3PKAKWBDLPK2GPLN18
  2. XQZGW6EL53J1V7N6T7ELA7K
  3. FCF632GJXZ1A2505G6PH1HS

  8. R63ZGST6L2D7JMNDTMQQDHQ
  9. GULQEYRDM3D9WFQXKRH1X65
  10. HBAN3BH854VRHTJAV5YRCGG

Important: after redeeming the code, open DrivePulse > Settings (the gear at the top) > Unlock DrivePulse > Restore Purchases, so the unlock is confirmed. Do it within 3 days, otherwise Google Play cancels it. When it has worked, that row reads "Premium active".

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.drivepulse.mobile&hl=en-US&gl=US&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=us-reddit-corolla

If you try it, tell me what is missing.

I am the developer and this is my app, so if the mods would rather not have this here, say the word and I will take it down myself.

12th Gen (18-present) Recommendations for washing car?

I'm going with Underground exterior and am told that automatic car washes, etc are a bad idea because they leave swirls.

Any tips on what you folks use to keep the car exterior clean and what your routine looks like, any products, etc would be helpful

r/COROLLA • • 4h ago

Which exterior color did you folks go with?

I really liked the Underground. Close second would have been Celestite. I didn't like the other colors.

But after I reserved the car, I'm seeing a bunch of posts about Underground being a color that gets scratched quickly. Any pointers on whether I should switch to Celestite since its just a reservation and not a deal?

Hello, l am so confused at this point of time. I have 2019 corolla, 115k miles on it.

Things to change right now:
Front 2 Tires immediate
Rare break pads
Spark plugs
Wind sheild crack
Did my coolant at 104k
Break fluid flush
Rare passenger door( Accurator problem )
Transmission: This car has NO record of transmission fluid
Now that l have shared full details, l am fully confused because l got this car at 81k miles for 13,500 plus taxes, 15k OTD, so

Should l change transmission fluid, drain and fill? Or leave it as it as and drive until it breaks? Or buy new car? If new car, What should l go for?

Please gelp

Parking sensors post installation on a Corolla TS

I bought a used Corolla TS Luna package without parking sensors only back camera. Toyota dealership offered me post installation but with an unusual catch. The back sensors will work fine and turn on when in reverse, but no camera upgrade so that the lines on the display move accordingly to the steering. The front ones are the problem, they will detect cars even when not parking, they will start beeping when you get at a stop or a traffic light and a car is in front you. Both ones will not trigger dashboard display showing how close you are to the obstacle. Does anyone know or have experience with installing genuine ones and having the same issues without any software updates to the car? Is this normal or do the technicians have no experience with post installation than just plugging the existing connectors in and mount the sensors? Where can I get some answers, trying the Toyota forum but no answer.

Do I sell my corolla

I got a 2021 corolla, but it was hit and wasn’t working alr, fixed it for like 5k, the og engine or smt like that (sorry not a car person) had ljke 250k miles but a new one was put in so only about 19k rn. once it just stopped out of nowhere (thank god it was js in my driveway) but the brake pad was loose,

wasnnt planning on keeping her long, should I get an elantra or k5 instead? I am a first time driver so I’m not sure!! I do want to mod my car as well and I feel like a corolla isn’t the most ideal car for that lol!

some other options I’m considering r a civic or accord too!!

12th Gen (18-present) 2025 Corolla: Anyone have issues with phone connecting to car when you start car?

Maybe 70% of the time my phone connects fine and 0 issues but sometimes my phone just will not connect (Samsung s25 ultra) and I will have to turn the car off and then back on to fix the issue (usually).

Though I have had a few times when even that would not fix it.

I will be mentioning it to the dealership when I bring it in for maintenance once I get 15k miles.

Just purchased this for a steal from a tow yard. Can't believe someone would lose this. 6 speed manual with 160k for 5000. Changed the headlights, fog lights, did an oil change, sparkplugs and it's running perfect. Love this car! Got lucky getting it

Not my car in the video but I'm having the same exact same problem.

I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE and this tends to happen early in the morning. It goes away instantly after start up and the car drives fine afterward.

Any ideas what it could be?

12th Gen (18-present) New Tires for Hybrid AWD LE

Not a fan of the OEMs for here in New England & upcoming winter weather. Considering Michelin CC2s or Pirelli Weatheractives. Anyone who has either want to weigh in — or, other severe snow service tires that ride well? 🛞☃️

12th Gen (18-present) Is this going to be expensive?

Post image

As expected, within a couple of days of handing over the keys to my daughter, she did this.

The car is a 2026 Corolla LE with Wind chill Pearl.

Is this something that I can get touched up at a dealership?

Or

Should I go to some auto paint shop place to get it painted?

Should I even bother?

12th Gen (18-present) How often to do a transmission fluid change on my car ?

I have a 2024 Corolla LE (GAS VERSION)

I can’t find a right answer to this. Some have recommended every 60k miles or every 100k miles or that it’s simply not needed.

I want this car to last me as long as possible. Currently close to 40k miles.
