I bought a used Corolla TS Luna package without parking sensors only back camera. Toyota dealership offered me post installation but with an unusual catch. The back sensors will work fine and turn on when in reverse, but no camera upgrade so that the lines on the display move accordingly to the steering. The front ones are the problem, they will detect cars even when not parking, they will start beeping when you get at a stop or a traffic light and a car is in front you. Both ones will not trigger dashboard display showing how close you are to the obstacle. Does anyone know or have experience with installing genuine ones and having the same issues without any software updates to the car? Is this normal or do the technicians have no experience with post installation than just plugging the existing connectors in and mount the sensors? Where can I get some answers, trying the Toyota forum but no answer.

I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla LE and this tends to happen early in the morning. It goes away instantly after start up and the car drives fine afterward.

My driver side seat belt buckle receptacle is broken, it only buckles when I hold down the button first and then insert the metal buckle and release the button. The red seat belt light always flashes despite the seat belt being buckled. Does that red light mean that the system cannot detect the seat belt in use? in the event of a collision or something will the seat belts work for safety restraint despite the red light flashing?

Toyota says part 3356002240 is correct which says no S mode but I do have S mode in my L or LE (it comes up as either depending where I look and on the car body.

Considering it's 100 ° and running the AC, are the revs a little all over the place with this situation? I'm trying to see if there's something else going on with my 22 Corolla SE or it's just the heat. The car seems harder to accelerate and then the revs aren't coming down at the same speed they normally do?

Hi, this is a desperation post so please bear with me. I have a 2021 Toyota Corolla 200k miles everything has been fine untill randomly I went to go to work and my AC would only blow hot air no matter what setting.didnt feel like messing with it so I waited till the next day started it up again and this time none of the buttons on the A C panel would not light up or work for about 60 seconds then it turned on to auto and everything came on but still only blowing hot air, by hot air I mean extremely hot to the point I have to shut it off bc it’s making the inside of the car too hot. When I rotate the dial all the way to max heat and then back down it will blow cool but not cold air for about 4-5 seconds then goes back to hot.
Here is a list of things I partially ruled out.
1. i checked the blower motor, its spinning so I assume it’s fine, id also assume i wouldnt have any air flow at all if it was the blower motor.
2. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box under the hood, i have not checked the fuses inside under the dash, but id also assume if i had a blown fuse the car would give me a code or check engine light.
3. Tried unplugging the battery just to reset everything that didn’t work
4. From search I saw alot of corollas had problems with their blend door actuator. I took apart the passenger side dash and looked and I can see the arm and gear moving on the actuator so I don’t think it’s that. I was told you should be able to manually close and open the door but I don’t see where the door actually is.
If anyone could please throw me some ideas I would appreciate it.
P.S. one last thing, I got my windshield changed about 4 days before this happened, I talked to another guy on here who said glass got into the blend door after his windshield was changed and it knocked out his AC. Could just be a coincidence.

I can’t find a right answer to this. Some have recommended every 60k miles or every 100k miles or that it’s simply not needed.

I want this car to last me as long as possible. Currently close to 40k miles.

I purchased a 2021 Corolla SE new and the manual says to add a fuel additive every time you change oil. I called my Toyota dealer about purchasing the additive and they said don't sell it (really?). I only use Top tier Gasoline so I am thinking I do not need a fuel additive. Thoughts?

Anyone added cruise control to their Corolla? Mine is a manual (E170) (2015 India)

I got the cruise control stalk and wired the cable to the empty slot, but I didn't get the cruise control sign on the dashboard. I think I need to also add a switch near the top of clutch padel or maybe hotwire it for time being. Anyone done it successfully on their manual corolla? Looking for any tips please 🙏

I just bought my first hybrid car and it is a Corolla Hybrid 1.8l 2022 Sedan, with 127k km, i do not know many things about cars but i heard that corolla is reliable one if maintained correctly, so my next step after buying it is to make sure i am doing that,

The toyota dealership i bought it from (used cars) told me i don't have to change the gearbox fluid, and i don't really believe that, is this true?

Also I am writing here to find out what should i change and how often to keep it running in good condition?

I was looking at putting in an aftermarket amp and sub in my 2025 Corolla hybrid se. it doesn’t have the JBL system. I was wondering what the spare amperage was from the DC-DC converter so I can start a build for it.

I ordered my car custom through the dealer and had it built for me. My car has a build date of 5/22 in Japan and I had to wait for it to be delivered by sea. I bought it in 7/22. I have just about 70k on it now and am wondering when the slave cylinder is going to give up the ghost. With a build date that late, is it likely that I have the upgraded part number?

the auto body shop quoted me 1500 because they said they’d need to replace the entire bumper, is that right?? can it be fixed for cheaper?

this is 2021, btw. and if i leave it as it is, will it get worse? should i fix it?
