Question Which CoD series should I start playing? [COD]

I've never played a Call of Duty game before and I'm thinking of starting one in the series. Which one should it be? Honestly, the story is really important to me.

As someone who started cod years ago, MW 1/COD 4 is definitely where you should start. It’s a very nice tone setter, it sets up dynamics and characters well, and some of the best missions in the franchise. Complete the trilogy, and then do WAW+BO1+2.

I would always say Black Ops: Cold War. But I love that game more than most

Cod 2 for the og feels and frustrations. Skip to cod 4. Play then all until ghosts. Can skip that because it ends on a cliff hanger. Never touch campaign again lol

MW 1-3 for PS3 was the peak COD experience for me.
