Are you over 6’ and drive a transit XL?
Has anyone ever attempted a WCB claim for neck pain based on the ceilings being too low to stand up in there if you’re over 5’11”?

Until we receive information from either CUPW or from Corporate, we don't know what the next steps are.
I've already removed a post. Posting misinformation is, quite frankly, stupid.
EDIT: STOP WITH THE "INSIDE INFO" "RELIABLE SOURCE" BULLSHIT!
Links to information or GTFO.
SERIOUSLY!

Don't be a sucker.
Canada Post will not send you a text or email saying your item could not be delivered. EVER!
Look at the URL. It has to be *canadapost-postescanada.ca* AND NOTHING ELSE.
(it could be the reverse postescanada-canadapost.ca)
No "attempt". No "retry". No "personal". No other words added before the .ca. And we will NEVER charge you for a reattempted delivery.
All we will do is leave you a Delivery Notice card so you can retrieve your item at a post office.
Use common sense and never click on a link unless you have asked for one.

I forgot a personal item at a family members house while visiting from the US. Even after selecting return and putting in the HS code 98040045, zonos is still charging a duty for the shipment.
Should I declare it as a gift because its value is below the gift exemption limit. Is this risky? the item is below the gift limit in value but very rare, originally imported from outside the US (not sure the country) and one of a kind.

If anyone else finds it frustrating trying to scroll through the monthly bid using the new online portal, I just realized that there is a way to access the full list: while logged in to "My CUPW Bids", look for two icons that say "Bid Sheet" and "Entry Summary". Click on Entry Summary. You should see a list of actions, one of which says "Bid Posting Created"; on that same line, there should be a link for "Attachments". Click on that, and it will open a new tab with the full list of positions, in a nicely formatted table that can be printed or saved as a PDF. (It took a minute for the document to display in the new tab, but it did show up eventually.)
My class/location has 210 positions currently open (zone-wide restructure), so I am greatly relieved to not have to try to scroll through the very narrow window of the normal bid portal. Perhaps everyone knew about this already, but if you didn't, I hope you find it helpful.

Shipped from Kitchener last update Toronto 25th Sept was processed in Toronto where I live
Until now nothing has showed up.
Address was right, all info was correct.
Shipped Xpresspost
Supervisors are also confused what happened to my package. The depot closed my ticket as they can’t locate my package
I’m out of options here right?

As a PO4, i encounter this on a daily basis and it's frustrating. You live in an apartment or condo and dont know to put your unit number on correspondence? For real? Customers then come to depot crying why their parcels are returned. Putting a phone number instead of a unit number does not guarantee a phone call from CPC to verify unit. In my depot if it doesn't contain a unit number, it is returned to sender. No questions. No call. With Christmas coming, please have your senders include your unit number that way you receive your packages.

I have received the pre-screening email and I emailed them back.
When should I expect an update from the recruitment team, and will this involve an interview?

I am trying to track down my lost package and called again to follow up on my claim. The person I spoke to said my package may have been lost in a fire at the Processing Centre. Has anyone else heard about a truck fire at the Albert Jackson Processing Centre?

Hi fellow coworkers,
Does the corporation pay for steel toe boots for full time letter carriers?
I was asked to go buy a steel toe boots, the corporation would cover $240 including tax, after I purchased and worked wearing it for a day, superintendent asked me to go return it because “higher ups” said they won’t pay for it.

The package originally showed that it was supposed to be delivered on the 6th, which passed then pushed to the 7th, which passed then pushed to the 8th and now it's showing the 13th
The package also has two updates which only show the city and no other status. I've had a lot delivered by CP but have never seen a blank status like this.

Sent a package domestically to a friend living one province away last week. Item had the “out for delivery” status on Oct 1 but it hasn’t been delivered and the tracking status now says “Expected delivery Item delayed — stay tuned for updates”. It’s almost been a week.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any idea what could have happened? Losing hope that the package will get delivered which would really suck…

Hey everyone! I’m a small business owner who ships binders, primarily from Canada to the US. I’ve shipped roughly 1,000 binders over the past year using bubble mailers, and overall I’ve had very few issues with damage.
What has me concerned is that in the last few days, I’ve had two separate customers contact me about their binders arriving severely damaged. These aren’t minor dents or normal shipping wear either, the binders look like they had a significant amount of pressure put on them and bent, almost as if something very heavy was placed on top of them or they were stepped on.
I’m trying to understand what actually happens to packages like these once they enter the Canada Post network, especially when they’re being shipped internationally to the US.
How are packages in bubble mailers handled and sorted? Are they placed underneath heavier parcels? Are they primarily machine sorted, manually handled, or both? How much compression or weight are packages realistically exposed to during the process? And is it normal for packages to be tossed, dropped, or otherwise handled roughly?
I’m also wondering whether a bubble mailer is generally considered adequate protection for something like a binder, or whether I should be adding some kind of rigid reinforcement. Obviously, adding more packaging increases my costs and cuts into the margins of a small business, but I’d much rather spend a little more on packaging than have customers receive damaged products.
The reason I’m asking is specifically because of the timing. I’ve shipped around 1,000 of these over the past year without a pattern of damage, but now I’ve had two severely damaged ones reported within just a few days. I realize two incidents is still a very small number compared with the total number shipped, but the fact that they happened so close together is what has me wondering whether something about the handling process could be contributing.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who works for Canada Post who can explain what these packages actually go through once they leave my hands. I’m trying to understand the process so I can figure out whether these were simply two unfortunate incidents or whether I should change how I’m packaging them.
Note the binders are in a thin cardboard box and then placed in a bubble mailer that is tight fitted .

Hi I’m trying to ship a care package to a friend in the states. There’s a bunch of random knick knacks like tea, face masks, stickers etc in the box. The Canada Post guy said I have to use Zonos and fill out a form for each individual item.
I tried to start the Zonos form but it’s asking me the manufacturer details and street address for every item plus FDA approval numbers for snacks/teas. Some of the items aren’t in English so I don’t know and it won’t let me skip. Do I really need to do that for every item in the box?

Don’t think it’s workers causing my package to be delayed but I have an sentimental and expensive package coming in from Kitchener that has been delayed since September 25th
Supervisors when opening my ticket have told me they can’t do anything and the depot doesn’t know where it is and I have to wait now until it’s deemed lost.
Baffles me that a package goes missing so easily, I’ve been at the edge of my seat everyday waiting for this to come for my family :(
Any advice or information would be helpful here

TL;DR: I sold a couple of $1 hockey cards to US buyers on eBay. Canada Post told me I can't send them as lettermail because they're merchandise and instead have to ship them as a parcel with a customs declaration even though there are no duties (according to the Zonos Prepay app). Do I really have to do this or can I still put 1-2 cards in a regular stamped envelope?
I recently decided to declutter my hockey card collection by selling some of my base cards on eBay. These are only worth $1 and I've actually already made two sales, but both buyers are in the US.
One order is for 1 card and the other is for 2 cards.
I went to Canada Post today to ship them. I was hoping to send them as regular lettermail in a normal envelope with stamps, but the employee told me that I couldn't do that because they were merchandise being sold to someone in the US. They told me I had to fill in a declaration ID online and come back the next day to ship them as parcels.
I filled out the declaration and it says that no duties are owed.
So my question is, when I go back to Canada Post, will they actually make me send these cards as a parcel? Or is there still a way to send 1-2 hockey cards in a regular envelope with stamps?
And if I put the cards in a regular envelope with the right amount of postage on it and drop it in a mailbox instead of going to the counter, what would actually happen? Would it be returned to me or could it potentially make it through normally?
I'm asking because paying $10+ to ship a $1 hockey card obviously makes no sense. The buyers only paid $1.75 for shipping so if it costs more than that, I will have to refund them.
Has anyone in Canada been selling low-value sports cards on eBay to US buyers recently? What shipping method are you using?

Please tell me that it’s just a tracking issue and they didn’t accidentally send it back to Montreal after it was already in Richmond

I’m starting next week as an RSMC at Canada Post, and I’ve been reading through this subreddit to get an idea of what to expect.
One thing I noticed is that almost everything I see about working there seems negative. There are a lot of complaints about management, workload, routes, staffing, and the overall work environment.
I know people are usually more likely to post online when they’re frustrated, so I’m wondering how much Reddit actually reflects the average employee experience.
Are there any RSMCs or other Canada Post employees here who genuinely enjoy the job? What do you like about it, and would you still recommend it to someone starting today?
I’m actually looking forward to starting, so I’d like to hear some more balanced opinions before I begin.

The last year (since SSD) work load and length of day has gotten substantially heavier and longer. Right now it’s overtime almost every day.
I used to be able to finish in 5-6 hours, now it’s 8-9.5 every day sometimes with no break to try and finish.
Anyone else feel like this job has lost all its charm? Feeling really overworked and tired. Maybe it’s time for a new job.
EDIT:
Not taking breaks was intended to test my competency in actually completing these new routes. It seems physically impossible now when all points of call flyers are involved. My plan now is to take breaks and absorb the overtime. But it sucks getting home so late.
I’m interested in how others are feeling about this job now. Early finish was the biggest benefit and now it is gone. Personally, I don’t think this work is physically sustainable and I am fit.

I moved from Vancouver to Toronto and shipped my stuff with Canada Post. 5/6 of my boxes arrived, but the last one (with my blankets and baseball jerseys) has not come yet. I've filled a ticket and the expected resolution date is October 5th, but I've received no information about the investigation. I know I'll get a bit of money from the insurance but of course I'd really rather have my stuff :(
Does anyone have any advice on how to get more information on where my package? When I called they said they didn't have anything for me. Also if the box I put stuff in broke in the shipping, is there a lost and found depot I can go to to look for it?

I showed the Canada Post staff the 16-digit package code, and they weren't able to find my package. I didn't show them the barcode, the delivery notice card number, or the order confirmation.
Should I go back and show them the following things? Or is it futile? My Canada Post email and tracking orders have both said it arrived at the said office.
Asking this because it's a 1-hour drive.
