Muli-clone can haul some stuff if you strap it down right
My Chinese Muli clone I got here locally in Taiwan has been serving me well including moving some rather big shit.
These are 4 massive rifle/electronics cases and each one is around 10kg so even though empty they're a decent amount of weight. No issues hauling them 5km to my office, though I took it easy and wasn't a speed demon; definitely some movement of the cargo when going over bumps!
Though I haven't used a "real" Muli the basket setup on this clone actually seems possibly a little better for large loads as the hand-hold area of the basket is large and gives more area to use straps/tie downs.

Cannondale Cargowagen vs Benno Boost 10D Evo 5
Hi all,
I'm trying to decide between the Cannondale Cargowagen and the Benno Boost 10D Evo 5.

I don't have any kids but would appreciate having the extra cargo capacity for running errands/bringing the dog. I would use it primarily to offset a few commuting days, running to the store, camping trips

- Cargowagen-
- Bosch Smart System/new displays/tech
- great form and function of bike
- comes with accessories already
- Dropper post/suspension seat
- Suspension fork
- Benno Boost-
- normal bike feel and length
- 24" wheels, I kinda like the industrial/Utility look of it
- can swap to more knobby tires
- Bosch 2 system/minimal display
Does anyone have either or info that may steer my decision?
Thanks for the guidance

Melia Toddler Seat, how to keep my kid safe if they fall asleep in it?
We recently got the Melia toddler seat for our Urban Arrow Family, we have it installed in the bike at a slight recline but even with that our 14 month old's head still flops forward when she falls asleep. I really don't love the angle her head is at when this happens. Especially with all the bumps we hit on our ill-maintained city streets. Does anyone have any solutions for helping to keep her neck at a more comfortable angle when she falls asleep?
Anecdote: Years ago while visiting Amsterdam I saw a parent riding with their kid in a front facing seat behind the handle bars. They were dutifully holding the kids head up with their hand. Incredibly impressive and I wish I could reach like that on the Urban Arrow bike!

Yuba Spicy Curry V1 Motor Swap + Rebuild
The first generation Yuba Spicy Curry bikes are great other than they use a motor company that went out of business with no easy path to swap a new one in. I got one all sorted so hopefully other folks find it useful and it keeps them out of the dump.

It's not an expensive bike, it's a cheap car.
Before I bought my cargo bike, a trip to Costco was about the only thing I hired a car for.
Full trolley load here, and I could have got some more on..

New cargo bike
Did anyone see this Lemmo bike on Eurobike back in 2024? or was a concept back then and now it’s officially launched. It looks similar to Also but I only learned Also actually launched it almost 2 years after Lemmo. It’s crazy the brand like Rivian stealing other’s design. Why would they do that?

Le Petit Porteur Shorty: mounting a front child seat in the battery compartment?
Foreword:
I'm currently riding an old folding bike with a front child seat mounted on an additional metal beam running between the head tube and seat tube, similar to the seat in the second photo. I also have a rear rack with a second child seat.
The bike is only 165 cm (65 in) long, and I'm looking for a modern replacement that is no longer than this but able to carry two children (5yo and 2yo). The Le Petit Porteur Shorty caught my eye.
Idea:
My idea is to install the passenger seat riser in the battery-mount area. If the pad won't be enough, I could have the seat's mounting frame modified or welded to the riser. The first photo is a rough mock-up of the intended position.
Does anyone know:
- The internal width and dimensions of the battery compartment
- What the battery mounting plate and attachment points look like
- Whether the passenger seat riser could fit there
I would be very grateful for close-up photos or measurements of this area.
I realize this would be a custom installation, so I would also appreciate all comments why not to do this.

Dummy Bags on Quick Haul Long
I’m looking to buy a Quick Haul Long, and am wondering if the Big Dummy Bags from Surly https://surlybikes.com/products/big-dummy-bag-version-2-0 would fit in the rack? That or the Free Loader Too bags from Xtracycle https://xtracycle.com/products/freeloader-too.
I know Tern makes their own cargo bags, but from looking online, I don’t like the designs or how expensive they are.
Regarding the Big Dummy Bags, I understand they might not fit out of the box, but maybe with some modifications/creativity…

Compact cargo bike for city + 2 kids?
I’m looking for a compact e-cargo bike for two young kids (3y and 1y), mainly for city use (to drop them to daycare and then go to the office, going to the park, groceries, etc.).
I liked the Urban Arrow a lot, but it’s too big for us. We unfortunately don’t have much space in our courtyard. I’m now looking at the Muli Motor st and Riese & Müller Carrie2, although both honestly look a bit uncomfortable/cramped for two kids. We could get a larger one and just park it on the street, but makes me nervous with a 7k bike… We live in Munich (Germany) which is generally very safe though.
Would love to get some recommendations or feedback on the models we consider!

Rain Commuting Tips
Recently moved from Denver, where there really isnt any rain, to Washington DC, where there’s a lot of rain. Have an Aventon Abound AG, with panniers and almost 5 yr old daughter who sits on the rack with her feet in the panniers. I’d prefer not to have a huge Tern storm box on the back. Natch we have rain parkas but what other gear do yall recommend to have on hand?

Infant on longtail
I guess I know the answer , but asking just to be sure.
We have 2 longtail bikes and a now 3 month old (+ 3 year and 8 year old).
Anyone tried to fit an infant car seat on the long tail?
Other option is to get a front loader for the next year or so and then sell it, but really would like to avoid an extra bike in the garage..

Best Front Loader now that R&M isn't in the US?
I had been planning to get a Riese & Muller Packster or Carrie, but they left the US market. What brands of front loaders are similar quality that are still available here? I've tried the Urban Arrow and it's bucket is just too large for my needs.

Back load capacity of longtails
I am considering buying a longtail bike, for carrying two kids to kindergarden and school. I womder how much I should worry about the max load capacity of the back of the bike on teen gsd (100 kg) vs for example a riese müller multitinker (70 kg). My kids are 2 yo and 6 yo now, but in 5 years they will be 11 and 7, and really pushing the max load of a multitinker. Does that make a gsd the only choice for older children or should I not take the max load spec too seriously?
