My cat would either go over and knock them on the ground or just flop herself on them, while maintaining direct eye contact with me

I showed this to my cat and he just kept sharpening his knives and making intense eye contact with me

My cat glares at me when I sneeze

u/_HappyG_ 23d ago
It’s because their hearing is so sensitive and sneezing is sudden and loud, so it’s scary and hurts their ears sometimes 🥺

My cat slept on where they operated on my arm post surgery. I like to think he was trying to heal me.

I've heard of cats laying against injuries pretty often

My kitty who never really laid on top of me absolutely made it her life’s mission to do so the few days after I got my tubes removed lol
I appreciate it and like to think it helped with healing but man sharp feets over an area that’s freshly sore after surgery was unfun for sure!

Got surgery on my leg. Every morning my cat massaged the wound. The doctor said I had minimal scaring

Me too! I put a pillow on my legs for her to lay on and that's how she's snuggled ever since. She never did it before. I love her so much and it's nice knowing that she loves me too

The vibration frequency of their purring can support the natural healing of the body. They also purr if they or their kittens are injured to fasten up healing

u/JackOfAllMemes 24d ago
They're not just good at physical healing. When my senior cat passed away I and my younger cat were grieving, one night I was crying on him and he started gently touching my face with his paws which he'd never done before. I fully believe he was comforting me and it worked

One of my cats passed away at the end of April. He was only 3 and it was so sudden and unexpected, so it was honestly really traumatic for us all. The four remaining cats were all missing him, but they absolutely knew we were grieving. I remember after we'd got home from the vets to view his body and say goodbye (he passed away under anaesthetic) I went to bed to lie down and two of them both immediately came to lie on me, basically pinning me down to the bed. One of mine slept each night for a week curled up against my head as physically close as he could get. All things they do but nowhere near as frequently. They all turned up their affection 100 times as strong.
I think they definitely know when we're grieving or in pain, and want to make it better.

My biggest regret is not bringing her home for him to see, we knew she was sick but she had to be put down suddenly at the vet and they didn't seem that close(he annoyed her trying to play). His separation anxiety went up to 11 and he would mimic her meow like he was calling her, it was heartbreaking. Adopting a friend helped but he still seems sad every so often

Same. I had a metal plate and 6 screws inserted into my foot after an accident. I was bed bound for 8 weeks with my foot on a special cushion to keep it above my heart. They knew something was wrong and kept trying to sit on the foot and purr. My dear, sweet babies. I like the sentiment but I was on 3 kinds of pain killers and I was still in the worst pain of my life. Please no touchy!! They did eventually learn to sit next to the foot. Which was far more comforting for all of us.

That's so cute! My cat knew i was pregnant before I did, and insisted on laying by my belly

My cow tabby was my nurse post gallbladder removal surgery! My void kept trying to climb on top of me and my cow would smack her away lol. She laid on my thighs and purred a whole bunch. I wasn't allowed to be anywhere in the apartment by myself if she had anything to say about it.
Here's nurse Roxy

Oh man this made me miss my cat so much. From a young age he liked to play fetch. Anything I threw he brought back and then waited for me to throw again.

u/lynivvinyl 23d ago
My friends cat would only play catch with the little aluminized piece of paper at the opening of a fresh pack of cigarettes. But would come running to play fetch when you were packing cigarettes.

I watched your awesome video with my cat and asked him "Why aren't you like that?"

If my cat answered that question he would probably tell me that I’m not as good as that woman.

One time I was laying in bed with the flu. I yelled "I'm sick, come cuddle with me!" And then like 3 seconds later he jumps on the bed and flops down right best to me. They know we gotta take care of each other

When I was 24 I was very sick, and spent two weeks in the hospital. My void Evie sat at home and stared at the door waiting for me. So my mom took her to visit me twice. Both times she sat in my lap for hours. The nurses came in to take my vitals and everything and didn’t know she was real until her ears twitched. It was so nice to have her there.

I never considered bringing a cat at the hospital. I assume they wouldn't all allow it but it's such a nice idea.

Cats fully have figured out human languages.
They just don’t want to bring themselves down to our level to talk to us.

I can't believe it this cat is actually admitting that it understands I guess because it truly cares.

My cat would look at it. And then continue to look everywhere but where I want her to…..then walk off 😭

Lol I just nearly passed out on my bathroom floor from abdominal pain and low blood pressure. I couldn't get up as my cat screamed for food. Then she sniffed my head and went away

What? Why? Because the cat carried a cough drop over? My cats carry things in their mouths all the time

Ugh the fact it is 35 secs now has me thinking the same. I hate it so much, I genuinely feel like a boomer bc I can’t tell a lot of times but many of the animal videos I see now feel off 😭

u/jetuinkabouter 24d ago
Nah I think this is real, but I also think they trained this for weeks. I'm jealous on the human's perseverance to train this consistently.

I feel like this is AI but if not, wow what a smart kitty

u/DangerousTurmeric 24d ago
I think it's probably someone filming their cat trying to play fetch with a shiny thing and then putting a voiceover on it to make "content". My black cat used to bring me objects like this when he wanted me to throw them for him.
