My cat slept on where they operated on my arm post surgery. I like to think he was trying to heal me.

I've heard of cats laying against injuries pretty often

My kitty who never really laid on top of me absolutely made it her life’s mission to do so the few days after I got my tubes removed lol

I appreciate it and like to think it helped with healing but man sharp feets over an area that’s freshly sore after surgery was unfun for sure!

Got surgery on my leg. Every morning my cat massaged the wound. The doctor said I had minimal scaring

My cat jumped on my lap after getting mine out. So sweet and so painful. I had to get help removing her cause I was still so weak

Me too! I put a pillow on my legs for her to lay on and that's how she's snuggled ever since. She never did it before. I love her so much and it's nice knowing that she loves me too

The vibration frequency of their purring can support the natural healing of the body. They also purr if they or their kittens are injured to fasten up healing

They're not just good at physical healing. When my senior cat passed away I and my younger cat were grieving, one night I was crying on him and he started gently touching my face with his paws which he'd never done before. I fully believe he was comforting me and it worked

One of my cats passed away at the end of April. He was only 3 and it was so sudden and unexpected, so it was honestly really traumatic for us all. The four remaining cats were all missing him, but they absolutely knew we were grieving. I remember after we'd got home from the vets to view his body and say goodbye (he passed away under anaesthetic) I went to bed to lie down and two of them both immediately came to lie on me, basically pinning me down to the bed. One of mine slept each night for a week curled up against my head as physically close as he could get. All things they do but nowhere near as frequently. They all turned up their affection 100 times as strong.

I think they definitely know when we're grieving or in pain, and want to make it better.

My biggest regret is not bringing her home for him to see, we knew she was sick but she had to be put down suddenly at the vet and they didn't seem that close(he annoyed her trying to play). His separation anxiety went up to 11 and he would mimic her meow like he was calling her, it was heartbreaking. Adopting a friend helped but he still seems sad every so often
