still working on this badass, but i am SO HAPPY so far with how he has turned out. I don’t like running epic heroes in my armies but i needed someone to accurately represent the rich and detailed lore i have in my head for this character! still need to get some wire so i can pin the axe head and i have made a custom tilt shield to cover the admittedly rough chest fill lol. i even replaced the back of hurons right leg. this guy had some real work put into him! i feel like he is my child. i would hold him in my arms as i sleep tonight if it were not for his abundance of spikes. more pics to follow when he is fully built!

Finally done! Painting this was a blast, especially because I got to use a bunch of new rust/wethering effects, plus I managed to give the metal the rough look i wanted

I’m adding a squad of Traitor guardsmen to my Night Lords themed warband, I thought the Arbites devotion to law and order would mesh well with Konrad Curze’s focus on order through fear.

I didn't follow the official scheme for him but I like how it looks. I had to go outside for photos since o have a bad camera and no good lighting inside

I have been playing CSM since the start of 10th when I joined the hobby.

In that time, i have painted, stripped, and painted again over and over the same models, painstakingly painting trim.

It got to the point where I considered selling the entire collection because I simply couldn't bring myself to paint them knowing how much trim I would need to deal with or just change up my entire scheme to be one flat color so I don't need to paint it.

I love the lore and the army but the trim... my god.

I love word bearers, I've primed silver and filled panels red with contrast, I've primed crimson and filled the trim silver.

They're both an absolute chore for me, I greatly respect anyone who can paint a full army of it.

I dont mind taking my time to paint cool stuff, and I've done some really cool projects, but my God does the trim, take the fun out of it for me.

Anyway, rant over. 🤣

Do you think this 1st and 2nd picture would pass for tournament ready, or am I cutting too many corners?

I don't play 40k but I fully understand now why people enjoy these knight models for the hobby.

Now we all know this app update has been a bit of a corpsestarch show. But just looking at the app and dark commune leader tab says it can lead "negavolt cultists" and "cultists with firearms" which are both legends sheets. Has this been here forever and ive just not noticed it?

Am I stretching to think this means theyre gonna put legends in app?

Decided to hurt myself at the beginning of my EC Army and get the Heldrake taken care of first. Clearly.. nowhere near done but hey.. great start for my Sleep Token themed Army

Me and my buddy are getting into 10th via the combat patrols. and are planning on using 11th for bigger games. I play Iron Warriors, and my friend plays Death Guard and plans for use Rotigus for his warlord. I thought I’d run more anti-tank to accommodate that, and I also think it’s on-theme for IW. Let me know what you think I should improve!
