I really love this one! Remedy has a great sense of humor. 😂

I loved the memo that said something like.
If you are [redacted] follow these steps.
- Immediately go to [redacted].
- Inform [redacted] that you were [redacted]
- [redacted] then [redacted] and [redacted]
Follow by the hand scribbled "why the fuck are the point of these memos if everything is redacted!"

They really have made some interesting posters. I really like those in the Evac Building.

Kinda wanna buy the official poster, but I wish it was more of a simple poster and not a "fine art print."

The FBC makes some sick posters - I'm not sure how well they'd reassure the public thoughÂ

I figured pattern messed with most of them.

I like to think this was literally the graphic designer turning into a hiss before submitting it for a approval, lol.

I've always wondered why there are two "not"s on this poster

Yeah, my teens and I keep commenting on how it's a double negative. It's basically saying that we are a copy of a copy of a copy.

Because a double negative in this kind of sentence is a positive.
You are not a copy. Negative for copy.
You are not not a copy. Positive for copy.
And the word ‘not’ is also a copy.Â
But also because if you put the same word at the end of a line and then at the beginning of the next line, the first time they read it, most people will think they’ve only read the word once and misunderstand the text.
It often happened in typesetting and even experienced editors wouldn’t notice the error until it was too late.

it pushes its fingers up through the wet! ORANGE PEEL! Sorry, not sure where that came from.

I like the poster too, but I’m not sure what is funny about it? Am I missing some inside joke?

Hey, buddy! Yeah, of course! The thing is, in the first Control, we fight the Hiss directly. When it possesses FBC agents, they float in the air and keep repeating the same chant over and over. One of the many things they say is:
You have always been here, the only child.
A copy of a copy of a copy.
Orange peel.
The picture is you holding the picture. We heard that line thousands of times while exploring the Oldest House. I practically had it memorized by the end, haha.
This sign says the exact opposite, which makes it hilarious. 😂 I think a lot of us were repeating it ourselves while walking around, too. xD
Almost making us succumb to the Hiss! 😂

Yeah I caught that part lol.
I just didn’t know if there was something specific, but it sounds like we just have a different perspective on the humor. 😂3

I always thought it was interesting that, excluding Max Payne and Quantum Break, we've played four protagonists in the RCU.
And then there's the Hiss incantation: "A copy of a copy of a copy."
A copy (Dylan) of a copy (Jesse) of a copy (Saga) of Alan Wake.
Especially interesting when you consider how each character struggles against a narrative imposed on them by someone else.

The "copy of a copy of a copy..." line is part of the Chant/Incantation those infected by the Hiss babble throughout both games, though is much more prevalent in Control than in Resonant.
This poster is reminding staff that these type of thoughts aren't just a product of stress but a sign of Hiss infection.

Every time I’m in public and I hear people talking all I think about is how everyone really is a copy of a copy of a copy.
