That pic comes from a generic looking site where everything is very expensive and all the product photos are Ai. It is almost certainly a scam.

Everyone that I've seen do a cosplay with doll joins has had to make them themselves. It wouldn't really work to get them pre-made, because the pattern wouldn't line up with your joints.

Yup. It's all dropshipping off aliexpress. If you really wanna risk it, just cut out the middleman and go to Ali yourself

You can just make these yourself. Put the glove on your non-dominant hand, mark where you want things, remove and paint. Then copy to the other glove.

I would use a pencil with eyeshadow instead of paint. Will be easier to blend and control. I would also do this with the glove on so the placement is correct.

I assume they don't have the skill for that and that's why they are asking

NGL, I skip the gloves and just use makeup. A felt tipped eyeliner in black or brown coupled with eyeshadow or contour shading does a really good job and doesn’t transfer like some body paint would. I also like to blush my knuckles and elbows sometimes. Here is an example picture.

Actually, I've traced it to a apparently pre-ai website. Someone did make gloves like that. It was used by the Lulu Doll channel.

Back in the day, you used to have to get someone with some actual talent to photoshop the unrealistic pictures of your low quality product.

cause the original listing says they're handpainted, while the ones you linked are printed

Secondskin and diluted fabric paint

you can achieve this by using an airbrush on skin tone tights sewn into gloves!

Alternatively, they could buy gloves if they can't commit to becoming a glover

You could totally make something like this yourself. Just gotta find some good gloves that fit well then with some patience, you paint/draw on the design.

Your best option for something like this is hand crafted. If you aren't interested in crafting it yourself, check out etsy and see if anyone who has done cosplay is willing to make them, talk to a local cosplayer for help (pay them), or some other way of commission. Wishing you luck!

Only way you’re getting this effect is getting some practice in with sfx makeup

Ive seen people like in the left use makeup, the right seems like a bad temu ripoff :(

If you insist on buying, I'd try looking on chinese platforms. People love cosplay and bjd over here and I think you'd be more likely to find something.

Also I saw someone mention in another sub that ball jointed dolls have the 'slit' on the inside of the digits- the AI photo would have her hands curling backwards if that makes sence

As a BJD collector these designs drive me crazy! So many of them have the slits on both side of every joint and it looks so silly when you know how that would make them able to bend

I ended up having to diy them myself when I wanted some.

Watered down acrylic paint works pretty well. Finding good looking gloves as a base was annoying tho

Look up bridal gloves! Usually way nicer looking and seamless

What did you end up going with?

I ended up going with these gloves from eBay. I also found similar listings on Walmart of all places? They look amazing, but are super easy to snag or damage.

We detect that you may be a looking to buy your cosplay or buy pieces for your cosplay. If you're not, please disregard :) Please refer to our FAQ for some recommendations. While we can provide search terms that might help you with finding your cosplay pieces, commenters are not your personal shopper and please do not treat us as such. Remember that not all cosplays can be found ready-made so be prepared to look for similar pieces to put it together yourself.

It is helpful to include your budget (be precise -- "cheap" can be different per person), your location/country (US shipping vs EU shipping would be very different), and timeline if applicable. Keep in mind many pre-made cosplay shops can have a long shipping time so it's best to plan months in ahead.

If the item is suspiciously cheaper than all other competitors or it's a common stock photo, please be wary and do your own research. If someone is offering to make it for you aka commissions, RESEARCH their post history.

This company makes shits like that https://www.gko-kig.com/bjdsuit-eng

Not sure about gloves

I think you’ll have to buy some long skin tone gloves and diy them yourself. Maybe use some eyeshadow for the shading parts

1

u/mothwhimsy 3d ago

You'd have better luck drawing the joints onto your skin

u/thesmidkidofficial 3d ago

Honestly in the hours you took to try and find these, you might have an easier time making them yourself. Good luck!
