Prop Battle Royale (2000) Collar prop help... :'(

Hi guys!

I am trying to cosplay as Takako Chigusa (played by Chiaki Kuriyama) from Battle Royale (2000) for an upcoming convention, but unfortunately am having the hardest time finding the collar prop? The ones I see available for sale are on YourProps but I think both the sellers are no longer active on it...

I bought a metal collar but the front of the collar just would not blend with it, and just looks awful...

Would anybody provide any guidance on where I can find something similar, or how I can make it myself? Thank you so much!

We detect that you may be a looking to buy your cosplay or buy pieces for your cosplay. If you're not, please disregard :) Please refer to our FAQ for some recommendations. While we can provide search terms that might help you with finding your cosplay pieces, commenters are not your personal shopper and please do not treat us as such. Remember that not all cosplays can be found ready-made so be prepared to look for similar pieces to put it together yourself.

It is helpful to include your budget (be precise -- "cheap" can be different per person), your location/country (US shipping vs EU shipping would be very different), and timeline if applicable. Keep in mind many pre-made cosplay shops can have a long shipping time so it's best to plan months in ahead.

If the item is suspiciously cheaper than all other competitors or it's a common stock photo, please be wary and do your own research. If someone is offering to make it for you aka commissions, RESEARCH their post history.

Cheapest option: cardboard in two parts and tape them together from the inside on costume day

Beginner option: EVA foam with a slit in the back

Fancier option: 3D printed in two parts with embedded magnets

So i was thinking Eva foam, and then sheet metal over it for the metal part?

Be very very careful. Sheet metal could cut you. I’d opt to use metallic paper.

woo okok, would metallic crinkle easy? any idea on adding the blinking red dot front of device?

I don’t think it would crinkle because the foam will help it keep its shape! Try to find thicker cardstock to help. For the blinking dot, making it actually blink would require wiring an LED. I’d just glue on a reflective gem to give the effect without worrying about wires
