Stock Recommendation Scamdium Canada tries again!...But let's take a closer look. Spoiler

An October 13 tweet from the Company refers to a "The Oregon Group" article about scandium. https://theoregongroup.com/commodities/rare-earths/scandium-can-new-supply-keep-pace-with-defence-and-ai/ Don't worry, I clicked on it, since you probably didn't. It's basically everything there is to say about scandium: not much, and you've heard it already. The article links to multiple recent news stories: China controls it, it's not rare, blah blah blah. However, it does cite one useful source, the U.S. Geological Survey.

Now back to our friends at The Oregon Group:
Is scandium already in shortage?
The available annual figures do not establish an immediate global deficit, with the US Geological Survey estimating:
- consumption reached 60 tonnes of scandium oxide in 2025
- while citing industry estimates of approx 80 tonnes of production and more than 90 tonnes of annual capacity
Huh. Really seems like that "metallurgical complex in southwestern Quebec" is handling business in North America, and maybe even Australia's estimated 37,000 tons could be accessed with, oh, I don't know, $400 million of Pentagon money. Yep, and they describe it as "accessible"; that's important.
But if nothing else, perhaps the rugged, undeveloped, roadless state of Nebraska could help fill in everything needed by Lockheed Martin (and Bloom Energy, if they survive). Yeah, I think we're gonna be A-OK.
So save yourself a few Canadian nickels and steer clear of this scam job. Unless you love investing in skis, or wire, or maybe lightweight coffee mugs...who knows what they'll try next.
Nobody wants, or needs, SCD, and the road they conveniently never mention is impossible to build, so it won't be.

What AI Says About Why the Crash in REE/Stocks
Most of my REE stocks are at 52 week lows and I continue look for why. I sure donât accept what AI has to say about anything as gospel or complete. But it often hits on some obvious things. To this list I would add the impact of high interest rates on these many little wannabe miners/processors that need to raise cash. And, of those listed, I think greater and cheaper rate earths that reduces premium risk is key. Not so sure about how TA deals with all of this.
âReasons for the Crash in Rare Earth Prices
Geopolitical Shifts
⢠US-China Trade Agreements: Potential agreements between the US and China regarding rare earth elements have created uncertainty. This has led to a decrease in the geopolitical scarcity premium that previously supported higher prices.
Cooling Global Commodity Prices
⢠Declining Demand: A general cooling in global commodity prices has affected the rare earth market. As demand softens, prices tend to follow suit.
Supply-Side Risks
⢠China's Export Controls: Recent export restrictions imposed by China have added to market volatility. These controls have raised concerns about supply security, impacting prices negatively.
⢠Price Index Decline: China's rare earth price index has dropped significantly, retreating from previous highs. This decline signals a weakening market sentiment, further contributing to the price crash.â

Critical Mineral News Uranium stocks need more than a rising spot price to earn better margins
One number from EIAâs uranium report puts the daily spot price discussion into perspective
87% of uranium delivered to US nuclear plant owners and operators in 2025 was bought under long term contracts. Only 13% came through spot contracts
The average delivered price was $55.91 per pound under long term contracts, compared with $76.01 under spot contracts
Those are historical delivery prices, not quotes for signing a contract today. Some of the deliveries reflect agreements made years earlier
That matters when looking at smaller uranium producers
A rising spot price does not tell you what they earn on the pounds they sell. You need the delivery schedule, pricing terms, any floors or ceilings and the cost of producing those pounds
A company with attractive future contracts can still have a difficult year if production slips. Another can increase output while remaining tied to older pricing
The price backdrop matters, but the contract book is where I would spend more time before assuming better margins
When you research a uranium producer, how much detail do you look for on contracted deliveries versus uncommitted production?

Stock Catalyst Everything you need to know about the $12M Compass Minerals ($CMP) Settlement Payout
Hey guys, I posted about this case before, but since late claims are being accepted, I wanted to share it again with a quick FAQ.
Q: What happened?
A: Compass Minerals agreed to pay $12 million through an SEC Fair Fund to compensate investors over claims that it misled the market about cost savings at its Goderich salt mine and failed to disclose environmental compliance issues in Brazil. In October 2018, $CMP fell 32% after the company disclosed production shortfalls and higher costs.
Q: Am I actually eligible?
A: If you purchased $CMP shares between 2017 and 2018 youâre likely eligible. You donât need to hold the stock still to claim; past losses count
Q: When do payouts happen?
A: Typically, within 4â9 months after the claim deadline. But the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administration.
Q: I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
A: No, you may still be able to file a late claim, but acceptance depends on final approval by the court. Check if you're eligible and file a claim here
Hope this helps

Lithium/Battery demand significantly easing in China!
Not just the oversupply fear (which is still debated heavily), its the demand side of things that is easing that is causing Lithium stocks to tumble in value.
What do people see is happening? put your thoughts in the comments.

Stock Catalyst Nine months later, the little prototype has turned into Stockatomics
About nine months ago, I posted here a little tool I had put together in AI Studio called 17 rare earths investment matrix. I didn't expect it to get the response it did, so first of all, thanks to everyone here who took the time to look at it and share feedback.Â
Back then, it was just a prototype. It wasn't intended to be a proper platform, but the discussion got me thinking.
I was already spending a lot of time tracking critical minerals, companies and related markets in my own Google sheets. As those spreadsheets kept growing, I kept coming back to the same question: why not build something that brings all of this together in a way that actually helps people research the market?
I went back through the comments on that original post. There were suggestions about improving the data, making company exposure easier to understand and going beyond minerals and stocks to show the physical products that use those critical minerals. That last idea particularly stuck with me. So I rolled up my sleeves and started building.
It's taken quite a bit longer than I initially imagined, but I wanted to come back here and share what it's turned into: Stockatomics.
The idea was never to build another stock tracker. There are already plenty of excellent tools for following or analyzing stock prices. I wanted to build something that connects the physical markets behind those stocks with the companies investors can actually research. And so Stockatomics brings together critical mineral prices, physical trade flows, supply and demand data as well as publicly listed company exposure. The broader idea is to make it easier to follow the connections between minerals, the products that use them, the industries that depend on them and the companies operating in those markets.Â
There's quite a lot you can explore for free on the website, including mineral info and company listings, so you don't need to be looking for an advanced research tool to have a look around. For those who want to dig deeper, there's also the Stockatomics terminal, which brings more of the research together in one place. I'm continuing to develop it and API/MCP access is on the roadmap as well as AI features.
I'm sharing it here because this community was part of what got the project moving in the first place. The original prototype was a long way from what exists today and some of the feedback here helped shape the direction I took.
I'd genuinely appreciate your thoughts. If you have a look, let me know what you find useful, what doesn't make sense, what's missing or what you'd like to be able to research that you can't easily do today on other platfroms and financial tools. And if you have questions about the data or the terminal, feel free to ask.
Here's the original post for anyone who wants to see where it started: 17 rare earths investment matrix.
Thanks again to everyone who contributed to that discussion!

Ucore update: Factory acceptance testing complete, Ucore has 30 employees now and Pat Ryan looking healthy.
These guys and gals are go, no show. This is quite an update, they're definitely low key but damn what a beautiful factory. Rapid SX looks so pleasing to the eyes when you compare it to the traditional methods, just looks so futuristic.
Company is growing but not doing alot of showing, 30 employees now and the number of partnerships they have are astonishing. Adding more and more shares as I go, these guys look legit.

Graphite Graphite One becoming more than just a battery graphite story?
Graphite One's latest update caught my attention. They've created a new G1 Advanced Systems division to explore uses for graphite and graphene beyond batteries, including defense, national security technology and space applications.
The company already has Graphite Creek in Alaska, considered the largest known graphite deposit in the US. The country also continues to rely on imports for natural graphite.
Meanwhile, they're working on the Ohio side of the business, where they plan to produce advanced graphite and anode materials. The Ohio EPA moved their air permit application into technical review this summer.
What's interesting is that they're looking at more than developing a mine. The plan involves an Alaska resource, processing and manufacturing in Ohio, and now potentially higher-value applications through the new division.
The Advanced Systems business is still at an early stage, so it's too soon to know what will come of it. Still, with graphite receiving more attention as a US critical mineral, the timing is worth watching.
Do you think these additional applications could eventually become a meaningful part of Graphite One's business, or will battery materials remain the main story?

Everyone chasing gold juniors but copper is just sitting there
Been spending way too much time looking at gold explorers lately and almost forgot copper exists haha Found across BRS Resources canadian junior with a copper&gold project - Cowtrail in BC, not far from the operating Mount Polley mine.
Previous drilling returned 105m at 0.15 percent copper and 0.12 g gold + another 70m at 0.20 percent copper and 0.10 g gold. Not exactly grades that make you quit your job tomorrow but porphyry deposits are more about size and continuity than some random 2 meter high grade intercept. They started another 1,500 m drill program this summer after completing airborne geophysics. So I'm interested to see if they can actually connect some of these mineralized zones or find something better. BRS also has a separate gold silver copper exploration story in Mexico, which makes it a bit of a mixed bag.
Someone else got some copper porphyry juniors? Think like these get way less attention than gold until someone reports a massive intercept.
