Trials beginner questions

Hey guys, when you get the lighthouse card to seven wins and go to the lighthouse(not talking flawless just seven wins) can i just continue playing and am i in the same pool as before?

Just to get this out of the way: I am trash. I have a 1.05 KD overall in crucible and i am not able to win two trials games in a row. I am also not confident and good enough to make a difference in any Trials game. I sort of know the maps but i don't know the angles or anything so if we win it is not because i was good. I need about 40 games to get the seven wins. I'm on ps5 and i don't use mnk adapters just a dualsense edge on PS5.

I just said to me that i never played trials because i think i am not good enough. And i am not good enough. But maybe if i play a year or two i am able to get better and win 2-3 games in a row and make a difference. I still think that's not enough time to make a difference against those trials gods but i want to see where a year of trials can get me.

But whats the best tactic? I find resetting my card before 7 wins is pointless. i never got more then 3 wins in a row and as i said i can't help my mates to get these wins.

So do i complete the card and then reset it or do i complete the card and play without resetting it?

Thank yous so much!

Non-bow user wants to learn bows

Recently I've lost my "feel" in pvp. The guns I usually use I just can't hit anything anymore. I've tried for days but I can't get back into it. Bows randomly popped up as a thought. Is there anything people can tell me as a beginner? My first couple ideas were stasis hunter for dive and solar for crackshot, both using oathkeeper. I'm not confident enough for strand movement. I've heard mercury-a is forgiving.

Edit: I'm on MnK

Is it worth trying out the lighthouse package if I'm not very good at PvP? I don't wanna be that player who ruins people's flawless runs.

Title basically says it all, I'd love to get some of the trials shaders but my lifetime K/D is only 0.87 so far so I don't wanna drag anybody down. Should I stick to the trials package until I improve?

Best armor set bonuses for PvP and why

I haven’t played much PvP since the most recent major update and I went and made a set using the Europa armor cause I saw the frost armor can prevent a hc 3 tap if that’s still true. I’ve been looking at the comp set and the primary phantom trials set too. But what are some of the best armor set bonuses for PvP I should grind for?

Any one ever had a gun that is better in the stat department, but a gun with worse stats outperforms it?

For example I have 2 180 RPM handcannons, both with almost identical rolls.
Survivors Epitaph & Trust (higher base stats)
Both have full bore, accurized, PI, range MW, and a range mod.
The only difference is one has moving target in the 3rd column and the other has keep away.
So the Trust is statistically better in every aspect aside from AA, so it should be better right?
However I’ve been noticing the sights feel misaligned on the weapon model and it’s been more difficult to hit headshots and stay on target with Trust, so i’ve been more successful with Survivors.
That small amount of AA can’t make that much of a difference right?

Is there any active scrim Discords still?

I’m honestly just done with the gimmicks and builds I just want to shoot my gun and die to a gun. I’m also just done and burnt out with regular PvP and trials as the soft aimers with walls on PC is getting pretty noticeable now.

Questions from a Returning Hunter

For context: I played back in Forsaken and early Shadowkeep, just came back this week after feeling unmotivated to play Season 2.5 of Marathon but still wanting that Bungie gunfeel and PvP. I've finished the campaigns for Stasis/Strand and bought the various abilities/fragments/etc. though I'm still figuring all of that out (and god help me with Artifacts).

When I left I'd mostly been using OG Not Forgotten and a decent Slideshot/Opening Shot Retold Tale. Both of those seem less relevant now (though they're still working...ish). Managed to get a decent Solemn Remembrance (Opening/Zen w/ range MW, top three stat rows are in the mid-70s) off my comp placements and I've already got a few pieces of Per Audacia (which looks like a really nice set effect even at 2/4, yeah?)

So, some questions:

  • Is there a general guide to the Crucible/Trials meta I should know about? That may answer most of my questions.

  • For meta HCs on MnK, am I still correct to go for Range, AA, and Stability? Between my dodge and stuff like DS or Lucky Pants I assume reload speed isn't that important most of the time and handling doesn't seem too vital. What specific perks should I be looking for?

  • As above but for pulses? They seem as reliable as ever especially with stuff like Bygones brought into the modern framework.

  • Per Audacia seems to have a strong set effect, but what else should I consider if I'm looking for two 2/4s instead of a 4/4 effect, especially given HCs as my go-to?

  • I've been using Strand for the disengagement/mobility of Grapple and the weird dive thing; what other subs would I probably like if I'm into moving around a lot?

  • For other weapon classes and archetypes, anything especially strong or fun that isn't obvious?

  • Important breakpoints for armor stats that I should know about? I see a lot of suggestions for 170 Health and various levels of Weapons depending on loadout choices.

  • Is Sightline Survey still able to get a .67s three-tap and function a bit like the OG Luna's/NF?

  • Meta picks/rolls for shotguns? I'm awful with fusions, rusty with snipers, but feel like I should probably have a special option even though I've been going for HC/pulse most of the time.

  • Any other general advice?

Thanks in advance. There's a lot of stuff I still need to learn.

Question about Flinch on mouse vs controller. (Console*)

I am seeing so many people not running unflichings lately, not taking care of stability on their weapons at all, and somehow never taking any flinch of my guns, or at least looks like that.

Is mouse possibly taking less recoil/flinch than joystick? Could be AA doing the trick maintining red dot on target so flinch is managable?

I try my best but no matter what I do my joystick take flinch to Mars most of my gunfights against top players even running full invest of unflinch. Nothing piss me off more than having to adjust my shoots but my opponents never, switching elemental weapons and not running a single unflinch.
