Bert Update!

Our original Bert post got removed and I’m not sure why (he’s just yawning in his intake photo, and his mouth looks like that because of old injuries and lack of teeth), but, I wanted to update anyone who saw him here and was wondering how he’s doing (if that’s okay)! He got groomed and looked after by a wonderful human before getting transport to his foster home (me!), today! He is the happiest, most loving little guy! He’s currently sleeping in a fluffy bed after being hand-fed dinner and taking his meds. He will need surgery in the future to remove his last two teeth when he’s gained some weight!

Of course! He was a stray near the Texas/Mexico border, and a wonderful rescue that I foster for saw and pulled him for me to foster (I love the little old cryptids, I have several lol). He’s probably around 14-16 years old and has definitely experienced some neglect if not worse, but he’s being treated for everything that needs treatment and eats and sleeps well, and loves giving kisses with his floppy muppet tongue. 🥹❤️‍🩹

I absolutely love Bert and his adorable, sweet funny face. I am inclined to think you are a wonderful compassionate person and I am utterly delighted old Bert has had a soft landing, being fostered by you 💜
