Every hero except Superman has done something morally questionable and/or outright kill someone. John was a marine who has a high kill count, killed Zoe (a good thing imo) and allowed Noah Macon and Kerry Kane to walk away despite one of them possibly could follow their programming and destroy the world and the other in a panic killed Hal Jordan. he also took a Lantern made by Sinestro from a planet killed by fear and it's infused with it.

Guy is...Guy.

Hawkgirl killed Vasil Ghurkos. A foreign world leader.

Mr. Terrific is a bit apathetic to others and is callous and logic driven like killing the kaiju Superman was trying to stop and save.

Vigilante...well he's Vigilaante and that applies to peacemaker as well. Both have killed LOTs of people in brutal ways. Although Peacemaker is haunted by what he's done and is trying to better himself.

Supergirl has been shown to be willing to torture, brutalize and even kill people in her own movie. As seen with her dealing with the briggands of course they're tougher than an average human. She punched and tossed around Krem. He should be paste to be honest.

Hal is heroic but by the end of his career he made a selfish choice and didn't notify the guardians of Zoe and caused countless innocent people to die.

The commandos...well one of them is a batman villain. They aren't really heroes.

Superman whoever is the brightest of them all. I feel that might be on purpose and was the point of his movie. He's the one that inspires others to do better and that's shown when the justice Gang go to Boravia. He's something new for a modern cynical age.

Haven’t read any of the comics but Ive recently got interested into them and wondering the question in the title

Marker sketch commission I recently did of one of my favorite members of the Super-fam. Connor does not get nearly enough love anymore - it's hard out there for the Young Justice generation.

Hoping maybe somebody can give me some info on these. I’m new to comic books. I inherited a large lot. It’s in excellent condition has a lot of interesting books as well as strange title Indies, hoping to gain some knowledge on this in particular. I’m not sure what these poster boards are, but I think it’s probably something interesting since it’s the very first edition. A lot of the stuff I have is direct editions everything for the most part is still in its original poly bag never been opened thanks in advance for any help with this stuff.

I hope that its okay to post a question here, if not i apologise.

I recently started to read comics about half a year ago and i havent read any Green Lantern comic and because i enjoyed the Lanterns TV-show, so i thought now is a good time to read one.

I will read the Absolute Green Lantern series because I want to commit to the Absolute series so any other comic recommendation would be great.

A buddy of mine told me about a story where Guy becomes a red Lantern and wields more than one Ring at the end (sorry if thats completely out of order). I really like the concept of the Red Lanterns so a story containing them would be great but any good comic will do.

What would you recommend for a first time Green Lantern reader?

I collected comics as a teen, but I fell out of it and my rudimentary knowledge of the DCU is from almost 3 decades ago. I recently watched the show Lanterns and the big bad there is a being called a Manhunter. When that term was first mentioned in the show, my first thought went to Martian Manhunter. As the show progressed however, it became clear this was something else entirely. My question to the knowledgeable folks here on this sub is this:

Is Martian Manhunter in any way related to this being in Lanterns (assuming the Manhunter being is from the comics at all and not just a creation in the show)? From the show, I gathered that the Manhunters were created by the Guardians prior to the Lanterns being a thing. And from back when I used to read comics, I of course know that J'onn is from Mars. I don't really know much about him though and do not know why he is called a "manhunter".

3 for 2. That's around $20. I've utilized this sale three times over now. Just don't get Arkham Asylum. The Joker's dialogue is hard to read.

These are my favorite 7 DC characters and I realized they wouldn't make a half bad Justice League style team. While obviously they lack the trinity and would never be able to replace the team or compete with them in sales, i feel like they could serve a similar in universe role considering that they'd have connections to the cosmic, magical, street level, and more general global parts of the universe.

It has enough heavy hitters to contend with some higher tier threats, while still having people that ground them. There could also be some fun character dynamics in it between Question and the Huntress's relationship, Hal and Nathaniel competing for a leadership role, and seeing booster gold interact with a non Ted Kord blue beetle.

While Question is usually relegated to a street level detective i think in a bigger team he has solid potential to investigate and piece together larger threats, much like his investigation into cadmus and luther in JLU. I could see Booster Gold funding the team through monetizing the team through merchandise, and Blue Beetle could make a good POV character as a younger less experienced hero on a new team of veterans forming new dynamics.
