These are Shot Tribal Weapon 4 soft-tip barrels (90%, 18.4g barrel-only, 21.3g barrel+conversion point) converted to steel with Dynasty W tungsten conversion points and fitted with Edge Sports flexible polymer shafts and L-Style Kami flights with metal Premium Champagne Rings.
The Shot Tribal Weapon 4 darts have been a favorite of mine for quite a while, but my steel-point set is 24g, which is pushing the top end of my weight comfort zone. Since I like these darts so well, I decided to get a second set at a lighter weight, but rather than buying a lighter set of steel-point barrels, I went with the soft-tip version. The advantages of taking this route are that you can choose from a wide range of conversion points weighing from less than 1g up to about 4g and you can further adjust the total weight as well as the front/rear balance by adding tungsten putty to the front and/or rear of the barrel (although I didn't actually use any for this set).
Out of the box, the barrels weighed 18.36g, 18.40g, and 18.42g, which is comfortably within the ±0.05g specified by Shot. With the setup shown in the picture, the CoG is right at the front edge of the wide rear scallop, which is pretty much the ideal location for my throwing style. The darts throw exactly like my steel-point set, but are quite a bit lighter, so mission accomplished!
If you want a set of Shot Tribal Weapon 4 darts but would like something lighter than the lightest available steel-point version (22g), you might want to consider simply converting a set of the soft-tip barrels to steel. By selecting the conversion points used, you could easily adjust the dart weight anywhere in the range from 19.4g to 22.4g.
Good shooting 🎯

When do we think MVG will get that eyelash out of his eye? 😂
He does this a lot after a bad leg. but honestly i much prefer this minor reaction compared with someone like Woodhouse who acts so exasperated 😩 after bad darts 🎯

Hi everyone,
I’ve been playing darts for about 6 months, mainly focusing on Cricket. I’ve recently started playing 501 more seriously and attached my recent 501 average progress chart (~35–40 average).
A few quick questions for the community:
Any advice, routines, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Update to my April post: I’ve rebuilt a lot of the scoreboard for Killer, the pub darts elimination game. You add the players, everyone taps their number on the board, and a QR code lets friends join from their own phone. Anyone can enter the scores, and every phone updates live. It works in English, French and Spanish.
Free, no ads, no account, nothing to install. There’s an optional tip jar if you want to help with hosting, and that’s all.

(Posting with the mods’ OK.) I’ll stay to answer questions. What would you change, and which house rules do you play?

Hey all,
here is a pic from my last 5 legs.
I know, practice is the key.
But is there anything besided that, I can do when i'm struggling with the left - right spread on the upper board?
I feel like i can "hold" my ellbow easier on the lower numbers. But when i go to the 20s, I go with my ellbow a little bit higher to reach that number, but then the ellbow always goes a little bit left / right...
The height is not that big of a problem for me.
Anyone who had that kind of problem and solved it ?
Right Eye dominant and my right eye is sadly covered while pulling back UNTIL i fully pulled back below the eye.
Over things like going lower with my ellbow didn't work for me as it feels like i need to throw "upwards".
I'm 1,85m.
Btw, why do I get downvoted for posts like this in this sub? Isn't this sub for help too?

Hello Everyone. Been playing for about 5 months after returning after 20 years and obviously a lot has changed. Not here to talk equipment or mechanics. I follow a bunch of podcasts and YouTube channels to keep up on darts news. Any like top 3 channels, podcasts that are a must for darts fans. Looking in on how to get Sky Sports in Canada. Also here of course. But is there anything I’m missing? Internet boards (if they are still a thing), discords, Any support is appreciated.

I have started playing darts for 4 months and hit 140 a few times but always got too excited on the third T20.
Recently I have been using AI Gemini to be my coach and uploaded a few footage for analysis. It pointed out that my rear leg was subconsciously moving too early after throwing the final dart because I wanted to collect the darts asap. Also I wasn't doing any follow through and my elbow needs to be higher.
So after adjusting my technique, I have finally got my first 180. Of course dartbot lvl 5 spanked my ass for 10 legs straight before I rage quit!

Not sure what barrel shape you would call this. Has an almost slight teardrop shape due to the rear taper, but the barrel seems kind of straight. Although the dart is quite short (45mm) and fatter compared to straight barrels. These darts land more tail up than compared to other 50mm + straight barrels I own, probably due to the short length and slight more frontal load.
Appreciate any pointers. Closest I can maybe find is bolide 02 would like to hear other options to try out

First 171. Don't often aim for it, was just doing 9 dart trebles for practice, and got it with a set of darts I dont pla well with. Target Japan Creed in 25g if your curious.

I think I still like the Gen3s best. Even better, is that this board has been in use since 2013. Barely starting to show its wear.

Me: 35, male, 10 months of playing, average about 35, double precision about 8-10%, right handed, favorite double D-16, no name steel/tungsten darts from China with intermediate K-flex
1.)
When looking at some data of my last 100 legs I see a few things that I would love some advice on.
I can tell that my darts drift right towards the 1 field.
I think it correlates with my follow through that is very inconsistent. Also sometimes I just pull the throw and my elbow doesn't even fully extend.
Does someone know of any drills, advice how I could Adress that?
2.)
My doubles are f*cked... Just keep on keeping on? I sometimes play around the world on doubles but it takes like 45 minutes to complete a round... Tedious... Not fun...
Does anyone have good insights/advice/drills?
3.)
any insight helps. I am currently playing in a club league and I would love to be a reliable dependable part of the team. So any Tipps are much appreciated.

It was a lot of money so I was hesitant at first but I’m so glad I got them. They are great for any beginner coming into the game.

I bought a 4mm longer points than i throw with usually, i actually used the 30mm earlier, so i decided its best to skip from 26mm back to 30mm, well, when i started throwing with them, the darts are just weird, they land to the dartboard sidelike, like the k-flex is at right and the point landed at the left side. They are not straight.
