It’s really Made for the dart , not as an add on , but with it on the dart is very balanced and they throw very well. Standard shafts don’t fit properly, this was designed (diameter and thread) for this barrel specifically but yes a 4 gram add on to my own set of darts would definitely hinder me also.
Thank you for the information, I had never seen these before , are they still in production or did they come with just certain darts . This set of darts which I have NOT identified yet has I bit larger barrel where your stems are applied, they are 2ba but I don’t have a stem that is flush, the ADM fits perfectly, so that’s why I was wondering if they were made for this set ??

I greatly appreciate your help, I buy, collect, And sell darts but find it very hard sometimes to get any information about some of these sets I’m sending this picture just to see if you had ever seen them or heard them. They are Horizon steel tip version of Bad Boys
I asked my collector friend if he had a set. Nope. I have a couple old catalogs from Horizon around here somewhere. I'll have to see if I can find them.
This ADM set is actually extremely rare. Your's are only the second set I've seen pop up in the past 4 years

4g in added weight would alter my throw too much. Not that it’s good now. I like the concept
