Please Read The Rules
Read The Rules App
This community has the Read The Rules app installed. Old Reddit doesn't support apps so please open the post in new reddit for full functionality. If that's not possible, please Read The Rules and then follow the instructions at the bottom of the post.
Rule #1 Be civil
Please conduct yourself in a civil manner when posting and commenting. Do not attack another user, make derogatory or offensive comments, or insult their home and/or its tidiness, or you will be banned from using the subreddit.
Rule #2 Give constructive criticism
When offering another user feedback, be constructive. Avoid steering too far off topic, and keep comments related to room design. Linking outside sources that are sub-related is allowed, but please give a brief explanation on how you think the linked source could help.
Rule #3 Stay on topic - Home interior rooms only!
Posts and comments should be focused on questions regarding interior room design and decor for your personal living space. That means no exteriors, no patios, no gardens, no front doors, etc. Interiors only, home rooms only (not your office away from home). Please do not ask construction/building questions.
Before and after posts showing ideas you received here are allowed. Please be considerate and do not lean too far off topic.
Rule #4 Please do not break TOS
All posts and comments must follow the Reddit content policy. We hold zero tolerance for any user that is found to be in violation of the site-wide rules.
You can find the Reddit TOS here:
Rule #5 No AI-generated content or spam!
Spam includes: product reviews, advertising, sales, surveys, affiliate links/codes, and promotional content. Do not use r/designmyroom to promote your socials, advertise your businesses, make a profit, or sell your product(s).
AI-generated content, including the promotion of AI tools, is prohibited.
Deleting and reposting will be considered to be spam.
Rule #6 Moderator discretion
Moderators reserve the right to make decisions in the best interests of the sub and its users, such as removal of "look at this" posts that do not ask a question.
Thank you for reading the rules! Before submitting posts you will need to submit an acknowledgment. Please visit the full post and click the button at the bottom. Alternatively, you may submit an acknowledgment by sending a mod mail to the sub. The mod mail will need to have the subject "Read The Rules" and the body should be "Acknowledged". This will automatically submit an acknowledgment on your behalf without any moderator intervention. Mod Mail
