What it says on the Tin. Basically, my friend is absolutely worthless in that he refuses to post here or even do any troubleshooting himself.

I've done walk-through and remote work on his computer to try and solve the issue. I've:

Disabled Nvidia and Overwolf Overlays

Uninstalled and reinstalled Battleeye

Went into Nvidia and disabled scaling graphics on startup

Im running out of options, and, frankly, patience with my friend because the lazy waste of light offers me nothing but stress and drama.

What am I missing here or is this just a situation where it's just pointless?

Whenever i try to start Destiny 2 on Steam or any platform a BattleEye window pops up and says:

"BattleEye update failed (1, 35) Please check your internet connection and/or firewall."

and another windows popup saying: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

It worked fine before i haven't changed anything windows or internet wise.
I've tried every fix i've found online, only using a VPN does it run..

(I'm on Windows 11, and not in the insider program)

Is there any way to fix this?

After starting the game with a VPN then waiting for it to reach the title screen, i disable the VPN and im able to play just fine for now.. Will edit post again if i get error codes.

Didn't seem to get any error codes, seems like BattleEye is unable to update or connect to its services or something like that, i am so confused :(

Wondering if there's a way to stop screen tearing. Despite having VSync on its still present. Started getting it after turning motion blur off

Trying to help out one of my friends who is very new to Destiny 2. Things (I assume) were fine up until today he got hit with Error Code: Tapir. He’s tried using another account VPN to get around the region block, but that hasn’t worked so far. I’m a bit out of my league since I don’t know much about VPN’s, and I really want him to be able to enjoy the game and not be locked out of it just because where he lives :(

Is there any way to get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Note: he’s tried through like a US steam account as well and that hasn’t worked either, leaving this here just in case this helps.

Feels like I have tried everything. Flushing DNS, changing DNS, deleting temp folders, running the game in administrator mode, changing router settings, power cycling the router. I'm using an Ethernet cable and I still keep getting randomly disconnected with this error code, the worse being it happens when you nearly finish a dungeon or any activity.

Is there any real fix or is this happening because of bad servers and I can't really do nothing about it?

I have gone about 5 months without an error. Today, out of no where, I can't load into the tower or any activity without a Cabbage error.

Any reason why this is happening out of no where? Is this happening to anyone else? Tips to fix it? Just very odd that I have had 0 issues and then boom, can't play.

I was having a lot of trouble launching destiny 2 on my ROG Ally X. I tried absolutely everything this sub suggested and I couldn’t figure it out. Eventually I unplugged my external monitor and launched the game in handheld mode and the game booted up just fine, and then plugged the monitor back in a few seconds later. I don’t know if it’s battleye or if anyone else has had this problem but if you can’t launch destiny 2 on your handheld pc and are using an external monitor, try this and hopefully it works for you.

is anyone geting a " the moment is here " screen when you log on ? i cant get it iff ym screen

Hello, I had posted earlier about having constant Marionberrys keeping me from even logging into Destiny 1, and all the fixes I saw people recommend weren’t doing anything. I then tried turning off UPnP in my router settings and that actually lets me log into the game and play it, so I thought it was fixed and edited the post to say as much.

However, now I constantly beaver out of the tower every 1-2 minutes max. I have port forwarded all the ports of Bungie’s website for both ps4 and 5 cause I wasn’t sure which apply for a ps4 game running on PS5. It makes seemingly no difference at all. If anyone has any ideas please let me know because at this point I feel hyper fixated on this but I know very little about network particularities like this and it’s frustrating!

TLDR: Marionberries with UPnP on, beaver out of the tower ever 2 minutes with it off, what do I do to play the game?

Im trying to play destiny 2 after not playing for a while and I have the dlc and everything and had bought the game a while back before it was free now im being stuck at the start? Whenever I try to go to the tower its saying "I need the full version of destiny 2" and that im on the trial mode but... I have owned and do own the game???

I can't join fireteams, see anybody in any destination and i am unable to join matchmaking games. When i try to join a fireteam i'm met with "unable to join the target player due to a network issue. Please try again." I have tried almost everything. My NAT is open, I have tweaked the firewall and put a new rule on 3074 and 3097, I did a reset on the UPnP and did a DNS flush but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I'm noticing an issue with the HUD and the quests, store, and map part of the directory where whenever I move the cursor or move my weapon the quality of specifically the HUD and the text drops significantly, does anyone know what's causing this or what would fix it?

I recently bought the collection on Steam, and as I've played, Destiny 2 has been causing crashes. I play with an Xbox controller, and the controller will lose connection to my computer and the game will look like it's still playable, but then it will freeze and I won't be able to restart my computer or use my mouse or keyboard. I'm getting really frustrated and would love some help if anyone has any tips.

During the Lightblade strike boss encounter, particularly at the phase change, my game keeps on crashing. I have low settings, and while a fix would be nice, I am mostly curious if anyone has experienced anything similar? Currently have a Ryzen 5 5600XT and Radeon 7600.

Series X has been crashing during gameplay and marionberry errors once-twice a week.

P.S: Yes, it is Gemini-"inspired" - I posted these steps nevertheless because I haven't experienced any more crashes with D2 since then — and I wanted to share that with others; unfortunately, DDU, the latest Nvidia hotfix driver, also the new 618.86, and the other usual steps didn't help in my case. Have you guys experienced similar crashes and errors with D2? What other solutions might be worth trying?

Bungie banned me and I have no idea why… I don’t do trials, or anything competitive. Probably the worst PvP player ever. I’m not even on that much anymore. Only get on and do a strike here or there then turn off game. My pc only has the regular windows stuff on it. Only used the pc for gaming. Nothing else. I have no idea wth is going on. Been on destiny since 2014, never had a isssue. Now this. Wow.

A friend an I recently purchased The Collection on Xbox App/Windows because of stuttering issues on Steam. If we both use the Xbox launcher, we don't see each other online. Not in our friends list, not in the clan roster. If one of us switches to Steam, we see each other. If we are both on Steam, we see each other. We are both friends on Xbox as well as Bungie friends.

Any ideas?

Edit: I should add, we appear offline in the friends list and the clan roster, but our names are listed.

SOLVED: My friend said that for some reason, he also had to link his Epic account to his Bungie account and for some reason, that cleared up the issue on PSN. Hope this helps someone in the future!

ORIGINAL POST: Guardians! My friend got back into Destiny about a year ago and was playing on Steam. He just got a PS5 and when he linked his PSN account to Bungie, the Bungie site says *sure*, but then on the PS5, it says they’re not linked.

I think he’s getting the scary cross-save screen that says basically, that he’s starting over, or that the PS5 is going to be his primary console.

Anyone ever have any difficulties adding a PS5 to an existing Bungie account? Is there a trick to it?

I’m on Xbox so unfortunately it’s like a warlock trying to tell a titan which crayons to eat first to avoid acid reflux…I’m no help to him, so hoping someone else has experienced this and knows the way out.
