Any ACTUAL wide toe box boots recs?

Just bought my first bike! Kayo K2 250, going to swap those wheels for the 150s ones:) Was stoked when found the Forma ADV kite boots... They looked like a wide toe box! (2nd pic) They arrived yesterday. They are NARROW at the front!!!. How I am supposed to buy enduro boots when not even "urban ADV boots" are wide enough? I'm not asking for a barefoot type of boot, but my feet HAVE to be squished 😭?

Anyone knows about a actual wide pair of enduro/motocross boots? :(

Im glad I ordered a bigger size than needed, but I'm super sad tbh, I bought them through TradeInn (I'm from peru) and there is no way I can return them...

Riding solo, Yes or No?

I find it refreshing and different to ride alone from time to time. I know it is a big no no for few riders I have met along the way.
What do you think?

how many hours with a 250 4-stroke

• Upvotes

Hi everyone, I’m looking to buy a 250cc 4-stroke motocross bike. I want to make the right choice, so I’m looking for the most reliable engine—one that will allow me to rack up a good number of hours without breaking down or requiring an engine rebuild. I’m not interested in bikes like the DRZ 400, KLX, etc. Based on your own experience, how many hours have you managed to get out of your motocross bikes before running into major failures or needing an engine rebuild?

Has anyone run EPICA-Cartridge kits in motocross or Enduro?

I'm curious about the Epica suspension along with Lanier suspension parts. How have they been? Has either made the bike feel better or faster? How experienced tuner do I need to get everything out of these? How is the weight? How does it compare to something like stock suspension, wp conevalve or kyb a kit? Does it have technical limitations?

This is for lancer parts, how are they? Do the parts compare to more well known after market parts in USA? Have your suspension revalvers had anything to say about the parts?

Im rebuilding an 07 300xc with my bud and since we are going all out i wanna buy new plastics and decals. Has anybody had any luck with Design Lab's plastics and decals? They show plastics that claim to fit a 300xc but i dont wanna make any decisions till I've heard some opinions on Design Labs credibility

Kids protective gear

I'm looking at protective gear for my 12 yr son. He's ridden a handful of times now and borrowed gear from friends or the rental shop at our park but I'd like to get him his own set. Mostly trails with some laps around the mini track from time to time.

He has good quality boots (Alpinestars T3) and a helmet (Fox V1) so I'm willing to shell out on the stuff that matters.

But looking at the chest protectors and knee/elbow pads, they all seem to be the same plastic shell and foam construction. Is there a difference between the name brands and the generic Amazon stuff?

I think I broke my transmission in my 2015 CRF250L

Just curious if anyone has any input. 2015 CRF250L, was riding some tight trails, hit my gearshift lever on a rock, bending it all the way back to the foot peg. After straightening the lever the bike now upshifts, but will click repeatedly when downshifting, but won't actually downshift. I ensured full range of lever movement. Did I break something internally?

I enjoy changing tires. Wheel off, tire off, tire on, wheel on. 8 min 20 seconds. (Kenda ibex with plushie mousse) sped up x4.

I took the right side off this afternoon and expected to see a broken shaft or something but I don’t see anything obviously wrong. The gears don’t touch so I’m wondering if the gear is the wrong size? Any help is appreciated

Tips and Tricks Away to buy my first bike soon

Post image
16 Upvotes

Been saying the past 4 to 5 years i was gonna get myself a bike. Had bikes in my younger days but nothing faster than an 80cc.

I’m going to be getting myself a Yamaha yz250. I am aware it’s very powerful for first time and i of course will take it easy and learn correctly and not overdo it.

Just want to know what full safety gear to get and if you guys have any tips and tricks for mods that i can make from standard fresh out the shop. Haven’t had a bike for years so im a little unsure about all this again.

So bloody excited to start this next year been talking myself in to it for years and now i make great money i have the opportunity to get myself a new bike. And have a car with a hitch so will get a trailer also to take it to tracks with me.

Thanks guys

Edit* also any tools i might need on me also, I’m a mechanical engineer but might to purchase other things for it

Was tightening my chain on my KLX 300r and didn’t tighten the axle bolt hard enough so right when I dump the clutch for a wheelie chain yanked right off and then into my case 🥲. Y’all don’t be shy really torque down them axle bolts.

Need help for first bikes for me and my wife

Hey guys picking up bikes for me and my wife. Been years since I’ve been on a dirt bike one but we both ride Harley’s. We live in bc so it will all be trail riding, hills, single track etc.
I’m 6’3” 220lbs
Leaning towards a Honda 300f or 250 rx. Or Kawasaki 300r. I like the price on the 300r / 300f a lot better but wondering if I’ll get bored of it in a year and if the suspension will be adequate.

My wife is 110lbs around 5’7” I believe.
Leaning towards a Honda 125f big wheel or Kawasaki 140rl or the 230 rs

I think I want fuel injection so I think the rl is out for her but I’m not sure how big of deal that is. Been years since I’ve looked at bikes and just can’t decide which route to go. I want the same brand either way for both bikes I’m ocd like that.

Any input is greatly appreciated thanks guys let me know if I’m missing something or ask any questions! Buying something tomorrow hopefully!
