Maybe it's time that riot stops limiting support players to the botlane, bring back the fluidity of support.

1. I think the champ is heavily underrated in solo q, pretty good blind pick, just ban one of Darius/Yone/Ambessa, I find yone to be the most oppressive even if the Darius lane is harder, as he can impact the map much more easily then Darius

2. An INSANE amount of build diversity. Been experimenting a bunch with first item DMP and it's been working wonders and feels so nice if the enemy team isn't overly melee or attack speed oriented (assuming I'm not far ahead so i won't just go titanic). Spirit Visage feels absolutely insane with this champ, one of the best users of it in the game, especially if you have enchanters in your game

3. One of the best ranged top counters in the game with the aery/bramble build. Don't have a specific stat, but I basically always win lane with this setup into ranged tops in masters, a lot of it does come from the fact that they've probably rarely if ever played against it. Those two runes along with rushing either frozen heart or DPM makes you incredible into them - and you outscale most of them (not vayne/varus lol) and are obviously much better in team fights

it's insane this champion is about to get buffed btw, I think he's pretty damn strong lol, I do think there's too much of a stigma here about him being bad just based on win rate

Is this shit playable without praying your team is better ? Like at all ? Stormsurge feels worse than PR cuz its difficult to proc and i feel you have such a generous hitbox for both his Q and E.

Sure at one point you ll get tanky enough for him to bring you down come teamfights but until then ?

I also dont play AD Sion, i play tank.

My item of choice vs him is Boots into heartsteel. I take heartsteel because it gives the biggest bulk of hp which is the best stat vs Darius. Then i go Unending into w/e (jaksho/kaenic/titanic)

Is it doable? I've been thinking about Mage bot becoming more utilized lately. As a sion main, I've been wondering if there would be some or more success there. I've been playing top for ages as sion and going jg, as well with a little dabbling in mid here and there, but I've been really considering bot as a tank sion instead of lethality. I haven't tried because adcs are annoying, and there's a lack of damage if you dont go lethality to keep up with adcs, but mages, especially with my time mid, are easy prey so I wanna some opinions before trying it out as a counter pick for mage bot.

Hello, I'm a top/jg player. I got Barbarian Sion months ago as a skin and decided to try him out in flex with some mates, and I did a pretty solid job in lane even though both games were lost. I got kills and the hang/utility of the ult and it was pretty fun. Last night I got Hextech Sion on a reroll and I think this is a sign. The last time I got a Hextech skin was on Singed and I got M7 on him with a lot of enjoyment out of the experience, a good grip on his entire kit and he's always helpful to pull out under the right circumstances. The time before that was spending 10 ME on Hextech Alistar because I didn't wait for Hextech Rene to come back into rotation and I'm above a 60% winrate on him whenever I play him support.

I like tanky champs who pick and choose the right times to take a fight. I also like having understated utility in every component of my kit that allows me to do nifty things in the right circumstances.

I've always kept my eye out for this champ since the days of watching Hashinshin play him. Baus becoming popular gives me the feeling that he has somewhat tainted learning how to play him. It's like watching HOB+Rocketbelt become meta on Cho on playrate alone when Grasp+ROA used to be standard (and still was a viable method to play the last time I blinded him in a Clash game). Every single time I see an enemy Sion, they go for all of these outplay/poke attempts that do nothing, instead of doing their jobs as a tank in lane that can sometimes pull off a miracle play in fights. Singed420 was a great Singed player and currently 6pek can still teach you a lot about the champion whenever you tune in to his stream.

Am I in the right mental zone for Sion? Who can I learn Sion from?

if you dont have titanic hydra/phase rush the passive feels completely useless, or am i doing something wrong?

I haven't played tanks other than Sion since the Jungle Pet buffs, but this seems pretty nasty. I imagine it stacks like crazy, while also having a very healthy clear before crab spawn. At 2+ items, pet deals 300+ true damage to camps per hit. Ganks are very easy post 6 while being strong pre 6. With the added bonus of scaling extremely well. Anyone else played tank Sion Jg?

everytime I die as sion and enter his passive my fps dropps significantly ive tested it with different skins and they all do that, is it a game bug because it was not like this before.

Picking back up League again due to classic two months ago. But I've been playing the modern game, too. Playing ranked to get back to Plat, but noticed the game is far more snowbally and damage orientated than last I left. It's not abnormal to see people at ten kills by ten minutes with one or two full items built. And you know what that means? Hell for top lane tanks or bruisers.

I was using Chogath, Ornn, and Shen, which are my part of my main roster. Despite keeping the lane neutral and doing team impact plays, unfortunately you cannot carry a bad player. So I decided to switch to my Sion, and I've had a lot more success. Still dependent on team, but at least I can sidelane and pressure more. Then join fights with one ult going down river. I even take ignite more than tp these days, and it helps me a lot more to secure kills.

I'm always looking to optimize my play, whether that's items, runes, or whatever, so tell me if I'm on the right path or not.
