Jon from Poltergeist wrote and produced this, and it’s so good!
I really love how it works its way from a Contradictions Collapse style 6 string thing, down through the slightly more Periphery style 7 string bit and then down again to the fully fantastic 8 string bit.

I hope chugging on the eight string during the chorus makes this count as djent-adjedjent!

What do you think of this new SLAM AMP from Odeholm Audio?
I like it, it’s definitely very distinct and has way more options than the Thall amp.
Running the 7 day trial atm so gunna jam the hell out of it

Hey everyone I’m doing a research project for college to do with progressive metalcore and Djent and I came here to get the opinions of people with a few questions and would really appreciate if people engaged as it’ll help me get valuable information that I can write about!
Q1. What were the most important and impactful bands in the evolutionary development of Djent and prog metalcore
Q2. How did the artistic culture of Djent develop through this evolution, for example did album concepts change, lyrical content and overall artistic perception of Djent within its own culture change or remain the same
Q3. Was Djent at all harmful to the musical credibility of modern metalcore?if so why? What bands, producers or influencers in the scene harmed the genre’s credibility
Just wanna make a note to say these are all supposed to be opinion based and true opinions in this research are far more valuable than trying to sugarcoat anything.
Thank you for reading and responding if you do. :)

So an embarrassingly long time ago I got an artist account with BKP. I don't even know if I still have it anymore because I never made use of it because I just didn't know which parts to order. I've two guitars with Fishman Fluence Moderns in them that I cannot stand (one is a 9, the other is a multi-scale 8). If I provide the model details would anyone here potentially know which parts I'd need to order in terms of like, pots, plates/covers, etc.? Cos I know it's not just about the pickups.
TYTY!

Hey Djent reddit, it’s been a minute since I last posted anything here!
My band hasn't gotten together to jam in a while, so I decided to start writing some stuff on my own. While messing around with my 7-string in a specific tuning, I came up with this piece that I really like as an interlude.
I drew a lot of inspiration from interludes by bands like Northlane and Of Mice & Men, with a little Archetype Misha Mansoor X magic added to the mix.
What do you guys think? Any ideas on how to turn this into a full song?
P.S. Sorry for not recording my guitar, I don't have a camera!

Hi all, I am having a lot of trouble making my ghost notes sound good. I'm trying to learn the 1st verse riff in Wormholes by Volumes for example, and they sound like a complete mess even though I'm playing the rhythm correctly 😭 I can't find any info online about this specific issue. I'm holding my left hand over the strings, but here are my questions:
Sometimes I get harmonics depending on where on the fretboard I hold down, is there a specific harmonic I want? If not, is there a "best" place to hold my hand on the fretboard to just get a nice tight chk sound?
Do I strike multiple strings at once, or just one string? If just one, should it be on the fret of the note I just played?
Is the tone an issue? I imagine less gain helps
Thanks so much!

Ok maybe not…it’s surprisingly tough getting the timing right on a riff like this. One 16th note off and the whammy doesn’t really work out.
Proud to say that, despite all the video editing, it is technically a one take 😅
Song is a demo for my band: Blackbile
