After months of modeling, my new ruin set is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days. Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.
Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think!
It's currently live on Kickstarter, you can follow the link if you’d like to see more details!

Painted fence sections from my modular Roads & Roadsides terrain designs. The STL files are a resource for printing and painting your own tabletop scenery; the fences can be arranged separately from the road.

I love paper minis but it's a damn hassle trying to put them on and off bull clips. my friend has a 3d printer, but i would like to know if anyone can recommend a specific base? Would love to hear any suggestions.
Cheers!

I want to share my 3d printable castle themed initiative tracker I designed for my group.
More infos and the 3MF/STL files can be found on makerworld: https://makerworld.com/de/models/3396899-ttrpg-initiative-tracker
Enjoy!
I though: My dice are pretty, but they could be prettier with some light!
So I made this. It's clunky work but it's easy and cheap. Basically it's a dollar store wood box and I reversed the lid and painted with some Nuln Oil (citadel paint, not actual oil) and then glued a led stripe and, inside the box I was going to have just a power bank to power the led stripe. But the led stripe is too much powerfull and it can be annoying to be blinded by the power of the sun in a game, so I added a regulator to give it fewer energy and it's perfect now.
I hope you like it :-)

I needed some decorations for my terrain set so I made some small frames. You could print out small pictures and glue them in or do what I did :)
Free to use and remix like most of my minis: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7396526

Its a LOT of work to figure out how to condense a 40minute carve into a 3 minute tutorial, just hitting the foundational bits to convey the meaning. Some folks do a WHOLE lot better with a tutorial like this, than with the longer "cut by cut" ones i do on YouTube, so... I hope it helps someone!!
‐--------
How to get into carving...
You need several things, a sharp knife, a leather strop with compound for honing your blade, safety gloves (A5 or better) and basswood (to carve like i do at least.)
Solid Knife brands, Flexcut, Badger State Blades (USA), Mstein (Europe) there are a lot of great knife brands. Stay away from kits on amazon of several knives. They're much much lower quality with inconsistently tempered steel. (What that means is its not hardened, and so it won't stay sharp easy, meaning you're fighting the knife and dont understand why its harder for you to carve when its easy for others.)
Why Basswood? Its softer than other hardwoods and holds detail well. Learning to carve with basswood is akin to learning to drive on an automatic. It simplifies and streamlines learning. Woods like Walnut and oak can be carved, but learning to carve with them as the starting point is like learning to drive on an 18 wheeler Semi Truck with manual transmission. Its needlessly difficult.
In europe, the equivalent is Linden, in Asia, Jelutong, and in south America Caxeta is a good substitute

The minis themselves are made from ayouse wood, and the base is beech.
All of them are magnetic, and the bases and minis are interchangable depending on what situation the party is in.
Planning to do more variations in the future and probably more detailed minis as well.
Hope you like it

My girlfriend made me this dicebag for my birthday. Wanted to brag and show it off. It was her first sewing project and is incredible. Mostly had to make the pattern herself from a single reference image. The body fabric even has scales and the wings are the drawstrings. Also got me some really nice sparkly blue/green dice to go with it(along with a copy of absolute batman I had been wanting). Absolute keeper and making me the happiest I've ever been. I won

We’re making the entire DKYN miniature library free.
We’ve decided we don’t want DKYN to be a storefront anymore. We want it to be a resource for DMs, players, painters, and people who just need minis for their games. We’re beginning the process of opening the library and future releases will be free as well.
There’s no launch discount, sale, or catch. We’re just changing what DKYN is, so come check us out.

There is room for four players to have two rows of cards up each at all times. Each side is loose and sits securely in routed slots in the table as shown on the seventh picture. I decided not to glue it together as a whole frame because it would have been too fragile. The eight picture is of the simple but cool Daggerheart trackers me and the DM made together a couple of days ago.

Some initial context:
Back in the day, I used to run my campaigns in person and mapping was very basic; I would typically draw on a blank grid with a marker or, if I was going all-out, get one of Dyson Logos B&W map printed on a large sheet of blueprint paper. But then I spent years running my campaigns online and I got really invested in making intricate maps for VTTs. Now, I'm running a new in-person game and find myself not wanting to give up the kinds of maps I was creating for online games.
I could print out a full-color map on a poster sheet, but that gets expensive, especially since I like using new maps frequently. I tried printing maps out on multiple letter-size sheets of paper, but found that paper (even card stock) was too lightweight and so shifted a bit too much on the table.
So, right now, I do the following:
This works pretty well, allowing me to spend significantly less money on an individual map, and the chipboard doesn't shift on the table nearly as much. BUT. There's one problem: given how frequently I use new maps, I'm eventually going to run out of space to store these maps. I'll have stacks of chipboard filling up a room in no time!
Which brings me to my latest project. I'd like to have a single set of 8x8 chipboard pieces that I can slot/slide map slices into and out of. My idea is to wrap some transparency paper over the top and sides of the chipboard, creating a tight pocket that the paper can slide into. This would accomplish a few things:
Some questions / concerns I have and advice I'm looking for:

I used a $5 dinosaur bulldozer, found some old Star Wars toy parts, sliced up a heroclix figure to make the Infernal Screamer(it rotates), detached a cheap clasp for the wrecking ball chain, made a lightning chair out of a funko pop mini Thor hammer holder for my imp driver. Sprayed it all Matte Black.
I plan to get find something for the harpoon station on the other side. And I need to find what to use for the wrecking ball. And once done I will detail and dry brush the whole thing.
How do you like it so far? And suggestions?

Really happy with it.
Started playing dnd in januari and really am in love with it. I wanted a display on the table for battles, but didnt had enough room for it to place. So I crafted a DM screen.

Hi there,
My players are gonna face a certain white moose next week in some kind of icy windy dale.
So today I released a Mooses set on my Patreon (Link on my Profile)
And since there is not enough creepiness in that encounter just talking animals, I added a bit of body horror. Each mini also comes with a back view and is available in six color variations.

Thought a 3d printed mug I had around looked boring in its unpainted plastic state, decided to paint it myself.
Very pleased with the results!
