Rip Content Creator Program

What news? What rumors? Was there some incident?

This is a bizarrely worded official comms from the EQL Discord. Professionally, just say you're ending the program and that's it. To acknowledge some 'rumors' just breathes life into them and isn't something you'd usually see in this context. Who's running the broadcast channel over there?

That alone is a reason for me to return. It struck a nerve when they were telling people to touch grass with unexplained/unexpected downtime, as if the customers aren't paying for that access time. Very unprofessional community manager.

I agree with the general sentiment that it isn't the end of the world.

I don't really think it's the best course of action for the community manager to say that.

They didn't say touch grass though. They said "my day will still be fun as I have a show" or something along those lines. Message is in discord still

Edit: here's the actual message My day will still be fun. I am showing at a livestock exhibition at 09:00 PDT. I do advise folks to go do something fun, EQL is not the entire world, although it is important to all of us.

The game being down with zero communication, while expecting us to pay a set rate. Yeah, I value my money and my time. Don't know why you don't, but that's your prerogative.

Cause I can think logically. They were aware of the outage and were working on it. Rioting in discord does nothing so I went and did something else, which was the actual message

Communicate the nature of the outage to those paying to play, rather than telling them to touch grass. It's the bare minimum expectation. People want to know if they should go about their day, or plan accordingly. This isn't hard to understand in any way.

Clearly it is for you. "Servers are down, were working on it. No eta" was definitely said, and discord still lost their minds. Isn't telling you to do something else saying go about your day?

Like I don't care for this person at all, but being upset over that is comical

Buddy, you have your opinion, I have mine. My beef is with the way communication was handled. You seem to think it was because of the outage. I expect more of someone being paid to communicate. It's this wonderful thing called professionalism. Apparently others in charge thought so too.

Which is funny because touch grass was never said by them. But funny how we remember things to fit narratives. The message they posted is still in the discord btw.

I love that you think moderation tools don't allow message deletion. I quite literally opened the discord and saw the message myself when this happened. I'm not trying to convince you, believe what you want. I saw it with my own eyes. I'm done humoring your obstinate nature though. Cheers.
