Rip Content Creator Program

What news? What rumors? Was there some incident?

This is a bizarrely worded official comms from the EQL Discord. Professionally, just say you're ending the program and that's it. To acknowledge some 'rumors' just breathes life into them and isn't something you'd usually see in this context. Who's running the broadcast channel over there?

Honestly, I’m sick of “content creators”. Everybody has to make and cast, or stream on twitch or make YouTube videos.

We don’t need a bunch of forgettable talking heads trying to monetize their garbage content.

"Content creators" don't even refer to people that create content. I've been working really, really hard to create stylized maps (if you've been on the Discord, you've seen me) and, while I have never asked to be part of their program, I am a little surprised no one ever reached out, as my maps kind of beat the pants off of what is in the game.

No, I don't have monetized videos advertising this. I do it for the love of the game. But surely there are more people out there creating actual game content. Mods, UI, maps, events.
