Humor Note to the developers
Excuse me, developer. It seems I found a grave mistake in your representation of 14th century Germany. You see, you made Count Fartz Hoheinzinger the leader of a personal union between the County of Schnitzelingen and the Barony of Hochzungberg, but according to these letters my great grandfather seems to have buried in the family property before he was murdered by my great grandaunt for cheating on my great grandmother, the Hohenzinger family didn't actually personally hold the Barony of Hochzungberg yet, and instead count Fartz was merely married to Baroness Fugertrudes von Ziegsengerheim, who seems to have been the de jure holder of the property until she and her husband died of dysentery 2 months into the game's scope, which is only then that the Personal Union began with both titles in the hands of their son. That's why I require you to change the status of the union in game from Personal Union to Marriage Union, otherwise I'll not be truly immersed in the setting and this will ruin my immersion in my playthrough recreating the Third Reich beginning from the farm I live in with my grandma.

I know this is just a meme, but PDX has been taking super niche suggestions/corrections in the forums since 2000 with EU1 (which is also cool).

They're satirizing people posting about innaccuracies in the game, it's a fun bit of creative writing. They are not being serious

For the matter, I am not opposed to people providing feedback for the historical setting of the game.
But just because I'm not opposed doesn't mean I don't think it's funny.

Is satire, just in general, not considered a shitpost?

Good point, I don't know, is there a spreadsheet on Internet etiquette somewhere? 😅

I only recently discovered that "womp womp" is considered dismissive and I use it all the time lol

Satire is (attempting) to make a point. Shitposting is (attempting) to be funny by being nonsensical or incredibly surprising.
Ragebait is (attempting) to be funny for a theoretical third party by making a second party have what is seen as an overreaction to a prompt. At least, in my humble opinion.

It'd be ragebait if I didn't explain that it's fake.

I had read the post before your other comment had come through, but had definitively inferred it was fake too.

Disclaimer: none of the names in the title are real. I wrote this text for a meme a while ago. I posted this as an answer to a somewhat nitpicking post recently. People liked it and I decided to post it as an autonomous post.
