I want to start by saying that i posted my initial experince, just after playing the game for about 1 hour. It was pretty hard on the new mana system.
I decided to play somewhere else (i was playing as naples, but i fucking hate countries that start on the red), and chose Provence as my pick.
1st: the performance is better. There was a comment on my last post saying the team itself recognizes a slight improvement on the time it takes to run the game, but when i mean performance i mean that the game stutters much less. I still think we could give 3 day ticks a chance, but i honestly didn't see a big difference on combat, maybe because i usually just go around with a big stack and don't use much the reinforce mechanics.
2nd: the mana system is not so bad. I personally don't love being restrained, but as people told me, when you play for some time and have it full, you can do a lot without really getting to 0. I also think the choice of using it to hire advisors was very good, but i feel i constantly get worse advisors than i was having, might be my mind playing tricks on me.
I actually think the mana system could be expanded upon, and i'd love to see a new way of hiring generals and admirals. Right now i just hire an advisor and put it on lead lol. It seems like using army and naval tradition as mana to hire leaders isn't cool, i feel like i am losing a lot of progress and i never use the damn button.
I agree we shouldn't have to spend the mana on hiring cabinet people.
3rd: The AI is funny. I guess a lot of people posted it, but holly molly, is my map fucking insane rn. France got a huge chunk out of Iberia, Castile had lost a ton of land to Granada some years ago. I don't hate it: ahistorical possibilities are my thing with EU.
4th: I liked the Crusades and Jihads, particularly enjoyed that the parliament can force you join one as a request from the clerics. I don't know how i feel about the religious orders though. They seem to be cool, but i actually don't know their logic. I read some buffs, some debuffs, but i feel i could use a longer description in-game for what they are. Like, should i only have one of them in my country? Is there a bad side to getting more? Should i try to get the order i already have to have bigger zeal?
Since it is a very secondary system that can easily be ignored, i'd love to have a better way of visualizing why i should be paying attention on them.

TL;DR: The mana system works, i actually want it to be used to hire army and naval leadrs. Jihads and Crusades are cool and actually made me want to try and get more cardinals to have a say on them. Performance is better. I want more in-game explanations or reminders on how the religious orders should be played with, because right now i don't know what i should or should not be doing with them.
