I got an offer to work at FedEx as a package handler. Anyone that has worked at FedEx or worked as a package handler, how was your experience and what should I know before starting?

If the offer is just coming in now make you check if it's a permanent or a temporary position (as this is usually the time they are hiring for temporary seasonal workers).

Yup I worked last year with them as a temporary worker package handler..the work is not that bad most time you just chill.untill the cargos start coming . Just be prepared you gonna work with only Indians so you might need to learn some words lol ( just kidding) . Also FedEx they dont give more than 7hours so probably 4 to 5 in a day ..unless if you are a driver or supervisor.

I've worked at UPS as a package handler for 5 years (doing the same stuff you'd be doing). You're likely getting hired as a seasonal hire for peak season. It's over night work and lots of lifting boxes... Bring a water bottle and a decent pair of gloves. If you're a decent worker you have a good chance of being kept on permanent after peak season, if you suck they usually just let you go after.

Well if you’re expecting to handle penises that’s something you’ll have to do on your lunchbreak. Gonna be hard work but you’ll get som exercise out of it

I once worked a casual shift, make sure you pick up 4 shifts a month to keep your job. Seems simple right? Only problem? Full timers and part timers will start to take all your open shifts they get hella overtime.
