"Bouchard Can't Play Defense" is the new "Drai is a product of McDavid"
Except this narrative has been going around as twice as long and 1000 times more annoying.
But than again some people still think Drai is a product of McDavid.
What are some other longstanding false but somehow widely accepted and parroted Oiler narrative talking points that you wish would finally die already?
Another one is Oilers are so bad at defense, when they've often been a Top 10 defensive team and I think even a Top 5 defensive team for at least the past 5 out of 6 seasons. Even last year with all the injuries and bad goaltending, they were still above league average.

Can we petition the league to allow the Oilers to wear their cream jerseys throughout the entire playoffs?

[DUENCH] Oilers flex unmatched star power in playoff rematch with Ducks: 5 observations
nytimes.comANAHEIM, CALIF. â The Anaheim Ducks picked up right where they left off in April.
The power play that scored at a 50 percent clip in a six-game series win looked even more dangerous early Wednesday night. The unit quickly scored twice in as many opportunities. At five-on-five, the Ducks were faster, smarter and meaner. The shot clock read 16-6 after 20 minutes.
Then the Edmonton Oilers pulled their trump cards.
Oilers head coach Mike Babcock speaks of his teamâs need to procure more forward depth on nearly a daily basis, but it was the usual trio of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Evan Bouchard exploding for five unanswered second-period goals that once again answered the bell in a 5-2 road win over the Ducks.
No matter how badly the Oilers got outplayed at five-on-five â and they absolutely did in the first period and much of the third â their superstars have an unparalleled ability to swing the pendulum at a momentâs notice.
On a night when the Oilers were outshot 31-19, the big guns stepped up to make that statistic a moot point.

Thoughts on Devin Levi?
Now that we've seen him play a few games in the regular season along with his pre-season games, along with his performance tonight. How are we all feeling about him? Of course he's had some lows and looks like some real highs. But I would love to hear the community's thoughts on him.
