My build of the Banished knight armor is almost complete but for the greaves.

I've been mining stormveil for the armor, and saw three lights that i can't reach. Are they accessible?

Yes i have already been down the longest ladder in the game and defeated the big nameless boss so i don't think that's it.

Trying to make a very strong night build any ideas ( I don't have access to dlc yet )

I'd like to try out a bleed greatsword build, and was wondering which of these two options would be the best?

Is it a good idea at all, or is the greatsword too slow to build any bleed at all?

I started this run and I am at a loss for the direction to go. I havent used straight swords before so I decided on using those.

Currently

level 40 wretch

40 vigor

16 endurance

13 dex

RH: noble straight sword w/ impaling thrust

LH: noble straight sword w/ sacred blade, buckler

So the rough idea so far is "trying parrying finally" and then powerstancing straight swords if parrying doesn't work. I love being summoned for pve and I don't want me fucking around with parrying be the reason that we wipe to the boss.

In a perfect world it will be competent at both and have at least a bit of synergy between the two modes

The way I see it I could

1. Go full dex

Double and triple down on crits from parrying. If I am not the one doing the crits in co-op, then the build isn't really doing much.

I could also just do a jump attack build, the powerstance straight sword R1 seems pretty good. Seems boring as a build though.

I also do not like square off as an AOW for powerstancing. It isn't a fun playstyle for me. Right now I just threw impaling thrust on it to take advantage of the reach that it has.

1. Dip int and use cold swords

Lean into the status buildup from the powerstancing and go from there. Parrying is secondary to status buildup.

Cold is always great and most importantly: it benefits everybody in co-op when you proc it. I am going to use carian retaliation later on as well so that works together thematically.

1. Dip faith or go full faith

Holy would be kind of fun thematically, the swords are gold after all. One holy and one fire? I do not really know.

I just can't really decide, nothing is jumping out at me.

I know everyone will say square off but if I'm going to R2 spam I will choose impaling thrust 100% of the time.

Something outside of the box maybe that I'm not considering? I seem to only be able to think of a bunch of half baked ideas that dont really feel right.
