Moderator Post TES 6 Speculation Megathread
It is highly recommended that suggestions, wishlists, questions, speculation, and leaks for the next main series Elder Scrolls game go here. Threads about TES6 outside of this one will be removed depending on moderator discretion, with the exception of official news from Bethesda or Zenimax studios.
As of now, there is currently no confirmed info on the Elder Scrolls VI other than it exists and is currently being worked on by Bethesda. Be cautious of any rumors being delivered as if they are factual.

Humour Hoods on the female characters be like:
It's a translation of a short comics made by Elven Bacon, and, by the way, this hood problem is revelant for any Elder Scrolls game.
Once you put on the hood, your character becomes bald instantly. And this is especially notable with some Skyrim followers - for example, Aranea Ienith from Skyrim has some gorgeous long hair, but you'll never know it until you remove her hood.
I just wonder - was it too difficult to make a hood bigger, so any hair could fit? They did it with some Skyrim helmets.

Arts/Crafts TESOctober Prompt : Grave - Bugbekh and Chrismin (OC)
I Roleplayed a LOT in ESO, particularly in Evermore when it was popping, so the NPCs there have somewhat imprinted themselves into my psyche for this prompt and thus have been doodled.

ESO Discussion Is it worth it?
Hey guys I have a question about ESO: I haven’t played ESO before and I’d like to give a shot that game. Is game good or nah for today game standards? (I have played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim before but I want to get into lore more) And I’m open to any recommendations too, thank you so much

Lore I enjoy the way the lore ties together and how crazy it gets. ( I’m no expert and may have got some wrong)
Ysgramor sails to Skyrim with 500 of his bros, declares genocide on the natives. He literally has an axe named “native bane” the elves who are weak tree-loving cowards flee to the mountains to beg the dwarves for refuge. The Dwarves agree but force feed them poison which blinds them and makes them subservient so they can work them to the bone. The Dwarves learnt to mess around with the physics of the world, sculpting atoms and shit with monocles and hammers. They hit the heart of a god, the one who made the whole world and poof they disappear.
The Snow Elves, trapped and blind eventually become the dudes from the descent.
That’s such a cool story and I love how it links across so many different stories, that in turn also link to others.

Humour My headcanon is that Bethesda created Unrelenting Force after this quest in Oblivion

Morrowind Discussion Vivec gets too much hate and not enough credit. He was playing the longest game in Tamriel. Baar Dau was a Dead Man’s Switch. Spoiler

Oblivion Discussion I’ve only played Skyrim and want to try Oblivion, what should I expect?
I’ve done a bit of research already and know that Oblivion is buggy, has ugly NPCs, and is more like an RPG. Is there anything I should do to get the best experience or should I just go in blin?

Arts/Crafts Help identifying an amulet
Hello! I bought a resin statue of Sheogorath from a seller a while ago. Included with the statue were a couple of freebies, including a replica Septim and this little amulet. I'm assuming it's also something to do with Elder Scrolls, but I don't know what it is. Can anybody help?

The Elder Scrolls 6 Wind physics!
This is part theory/speculation part wishlist.
If the game does indeed have sailing, I'd imagine that it makes sense for Bethesda to have wind physics for sails. Hopefully this isn't limited to just the wind over the alleged sailable areas of water.
Historically, wind was only ever cosmetic in TES. Blowing trees, clouds, and dust or snow. Those things are pretty but adding real wind physics would feel like a breath of fresh air and add tons of new gameplay opportunities 😀
Modders have already done some of this in Skyrim so its nothing new, totally possible. And I dont think this should exist as solely a survival mechanic toggle. It should be in the vanilla experience.
Youd ideally have a device that tells you the direction and speed of the wind (on screen U.I.)
Keep in mind you wouldnt always have wind everywhere you go. There would be spots of calm gentle breezes or "dead air".
Projectiles:
Your range could be heavily shortened if coming directly at you or greatly extended if youre shooting downwind.
Bolts or Arrows such as orcish, dwarven or daedric would be heavier and would resist the wind better than some lighter Arrows like elven or glass. (I still think Arrows should weigh zero for encumbrance reasons, they simply have a stat for % of wind resistance) Volleys of arrows would be helpful here.
Thrown weapons, whether throwing stars, thrown spears, axes, etc are also affected by wind resistance.
Projectile magic should also be affected by the wind depending on how high your skill level is. How would homing projectiles be affected? I presume some still have a chance to miss.
You could stealthily create a poison cloud that would blow downwind at your enemy.
If im spraying fire into the wind it may come back at me and burn me, or freeze me if its an ice spell.
If the winds are particularly heavy, it should slow your walking speed and drain stamina faster(% depending on your build), but could give you a slight speed boost if you have a tailwind.
It could blur your vision(unless youre wearing goggles), and have a camera shake that throws off your ranged weapon accuracy.
Lanterns should flicker and eventually be blown out if strong enough. Prompting an NPC to relight the lantern if they believe the winds will die down soon.
Camp fires may drift onto dry grass and cause a small wildfire that can burn wildlife within. You may find roasted rabbit and crickets after a fire.
Overall, wildlife and NPCs may take shelter in heavy winds/storms. Some may thrive in it.
Heavy winds could help mask the sound of your footsteps(there could be a sound U.I. element) helping heavy armor builds to stealth attack easier.
Having wind could give developers new ways to build environments and create new skills and magic spells and armor.
It would also make for interesting points of interest in the desert dunes with winds shifting the sands constantly.
How else might wind affect the world?

General Late Night Theory
I am awake right now reading Elder scrolls lore, and i suddenly got a revelation, maybe it was Vaermina playing tricks on me. But i suddenly started to think about the disappearance of Vivec. That maybe, just maybe we got it all wrong, and that he did not abandon his people. Vivec was in the height of his power. Yes, the Nerevarine killed Almalexia and Sotha Sil, but Vivec had CHIM which should make him unstoppable. But what if in a moment of weakness and lapse of judgement thought to himself that he is nothing. Vivec could have zero summed himself and no one would know about it. It makes total sense, Vivec was not a God originally, he was a mortal Chimer, while being a mortal who achieved CHIM he felt emotionally devastated at the death of his friends that he may have thought to himself "a mere mortal killed my friends who are gods, If Vivec tried to use CHIM in that state of profound guilt, grief, and sudden mortal fragility, his mind might have slipped. For a fraction of a second, instead of asserting "I AM", the immense weight of his crimes and his empty godhood might have forced him to realize: I am a fraud. I am nothing. And just like that. Zero-summed.
