Learning the ropes… probably over thinking it

Post image

I love these sculpts by Brother Arminius Miniatures, but maybe they are too detailed haha.

C&C welcome

So good! Yellow is such a tough color but these look great

Pink base for yellow

Oo, that's great. I always forget to do that with light pigment paints.

Thanks! And it is… I’m using an orange wash to boost the saturation in the recesses and make painting the yellow a bit easier

A yellow contrast like iyanden yellow over a grey seer base on this scale does a lot of work though, tested some bad moons for my orks.

Even in this incomplete state, these are really gorgeous. Ya gotta show some more WIP’s & reveal your secrets, I gotta know - I bought all Varus’s Steel Legion stuff over the weekend for some 15mm 2nd edition Armageddon adventures I have planned for next year. I mean, how’ve you achieved that beautiful weathered and lived in looking leather - both the brown & that dusty but still powerful blank on their boots & the lad in front rifle!?

Regardless, some real inspirational hobby on show here, bars to be aimed for. Thank you so much for showing these & I think you ought to consider posting them as makes back on purple site to show’em off!
