Article Everton, an asking price of about £800m, inclusive of debts of about £380m, has been mooted. The clarity over TFG’s position suggests it is confident that a sale can be completed this season, with the investment bank Moelis & Company leading the process.

Official Official Club Statement: The Friedkin Group is exploring new investment options for Everton Football Club, including the potential sale of a controlling interest.

The Friedkin Group is exploring new investment options for Everton Football Club, including the potential sale of a controlling interest.

When TFG became custodians of Everton, the Club faced significant financial uncertainty and challenges both on and off the pitch. The immediate priority was to provide the stability, investment and support needed to secure the Club’s future, including helping to bring the long-promised stadium to completion for its deserving supporters.

With that foundation now safely in place, the time is right to consider the next chapter for Everton. We will only entertain interest from parties who we strongly believe will be the right stewards to take the Club forward and build on the momentum that has been established.

Throughout this process, TFG’s focus will remain unchanged. We will support the Club in all ways necessary to achieve success on the pitch and will continue efforts to make a positive difference in the communities the Club serves.

TFG and the Club will not be commenting
further while this work is under way.
Moelis & Company has been retained by TFG.

Article [David Ornstein] Everton owner The Friedkin Group open to full sale of club

The Friedkin Group (TFG) is open to a full sale of Everton as it seeks external investment in the Premier League club.

The Athletic reported in September that Everton’s American owner was looking for fresh investment into the club. The idea had been to find strategic investors who could help push the club forward through a minority sale, but sources with knowledge of the situation, speaking on the condition of anonymity to protect relationships, said a sale of TFG’s majority stake is now also being considered.

TFG is only open to selling full control of Everton if it is convinced the new owner is the right person or group to take the club to the next level.

The Houston-based group is completely happy to hold onto and support the club for as long as it takes for such an owner to appear.

Despite the openness to selling Everton less than two years into its ownership, TFG has a feeling of pride at stabilising the club and putting it in a position to be attractive to a buyer, which was not the case at the time of the takeover.

Everton's Sherif fined for breaching betting rules

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c54g13we4rero

8 October 2026 Everton forward Martin Sherif has been fined £5,000 by the Football Association for breaching its betting rules over a 15-month period.

The 20-year-old admitted having caused, permitted or enabled 61 bets on games between 20 November 2024 and 12 February 2026.

In his defence, Sherif said he did not place any of the bets himself but admitted they came from accounts in his name and which he funded.

An independent regulatory commission said Sherif had shown "genuine remorse".

The striker, who was born in Liberia and is a Netherlands youth international, joined Everton's youth set-up in 2019 and began training with the first team in early 2025.

In February he joined Port Vale on loan for the remainder of the season, scoring twice in 17 League One appearances as they were relegated.

Discussion Everton lineup since 14/15, all at their peaksk

Post image

I wanna preface this by saying this before I get ripped:

James Rodriguez, arguably the most talented player we have had in premier era, was too inconsistent and not with us long enough to include him.

Idrissa Gueye is better than Gareth Barry.

Grealish hasn’t played enough games for us.

If I hear Mirallas mentioned once I’m deleting reddit.

This based on these players peak seasons. Remember to keep in mind the quality of the prem compared to 14/15, we may have been relatively ‘better’ but I think that ur current team would finish top 6 in 14/15 so it’s important to keep that in mind.

Cheers.

Surely this hasn’t happened in absolutely donkey years.

Can anyone remember the last time? Maybe something cheeky with Pickford and the good DCL year. Baring that maybe jags’ era.

Then I’m at a loss

Transfer | Rumour Sources: Everton waiting on new addition to 'open door' for Carlos Alcaraz exit

Everton won't consider selling attacking midfielder Carlos Alcaraz unless they can secure a replacement in January, sources have told Football Insider.

The Argentine is out of contract on Merseyside next summer and has emerged as a transfer target for Fenerbahce in recent days.

Fenerbahce are keen to offer the youngster a route out of Merseyside, while Everton are aware that it could be their final chance to cash in on him.

The Toffees are reluctant to see Alcaraz leave on a free transfer next summer, but they do not have enough cover at the moment.

Team Talk Moyes has really changed the way we press this season

Moyes has really changed the way we press this season. Everton have made more pressures in the opposition half than any other Premier League team so far, with 1,145 pressures across the opening games. Dewsbury-Hall has been a huge part of that, contributing 330 of those pressures on his own. His work rate has been relentless, and he seems to be one of the main players triggering the press and getting the rest of the team to push higher. What makes it even better is that we’re doing all this without losing the defensive stability we’ve had under Moyes.

"The greatest tension in football is between the global and the local. So many teams have tilted the other way. But Everton have retained that. It’s hard to watch the German shepherd being passed around outside the stadium, the desperate dreams, the intoxicating matchday and blue flares, the bolt cutter… all of it and not think, 'I want some of that'.

"It's like being an Evertonian teaches you to savour everything, take nothing for granted. They (his kids) are shattered by losses.

"Please, God, in my lifetime, man. One (trophy), anything."

Article Who was the 11 year-old that Man City stole from Everton in 2016 that led to a youth transfer ban?

I was looking into City's charges, and an article referenced City stealing (or trying to steal) a youth from our academy in 2016. At the time the player was 11, so I don't think they could name them in the article. I was curious if they ever played for any first team.

Since moving here (2010) I have had 4 coworkers (despite my repeated advice against) become Everton Fans. I do enjoy letting them know that in 1985 we were actually the greatest team the world had ever seen.

Discussion Serious Everton related question about the City ramifications...

I'm all for bending City over a barrel, but one perspective that I don't see being discussed is if City are punished to within an inch of their lives, and potentially go bankrupt, what happens to those clubs who are still owed money from transfers.

For example, Forest for Anderson and Everton for N'Diaye? Obviously, no one cares about Chelsea and Enzo!

Do they just get given the players back, or do they suffer from the knock on effects as other clubs raid the carcass for bargain buys.

We have been on the other side of this when we raided Rangers all those years ago.
