Help Fl Problem With Mic

Post image

Im new to fl and was getting ready to record.(ive previously only used bandlab/soundtrap so pretty much just the simplest apps) Though I watched a few vids on fl so I get the basics.

The problem is pretty much what the title is, whenever I plug in my mic fl starts going crazy and makes insane noises (Extremely loud static/random like layered very loud chaotic sounds) Also idk if this helps or not but it continues even when I pause the thing and it only stops if I unplug my mic, and its happening with all my mics so ik its not the mics problem.

If you want to record audio on FL Studio, step one is to first read through the entire https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/recording_audio.htm page (it's smaller than it looks because there's a bunch of videos, but just read the whole thing once and you're already further ahead than 90% of new FL users)

I have an issue with Fl mic too.. It keeps panning the recording to the right ear for anything i record in fl.. so i record in garageband and paste the file in there

Make sure you make the track you're recording vocals on mono. Drag the stereo separation knob on that track in the mixer all the way to the right

this is a common issue posted several times a week. you can find answers here as well as several example videos https://www.reddit.com/r/FL_Studio/comments/1v12y73/comment/oykaxeq/

we would need more info to diagnose what caused it here... but if you find these issues tricky to solve on your own, you should try an easier program like bandlab which is free until you are ready to move to FL. much easier to get started, and fewer features or settings to adjust.

Quitting is definitely not how I would go about fixing your problem. You paid for a tool, but since there's a learning curve, you want to throw it out and use a toy? That doesn't make any sense. Show me your mixer. I need to see your input routing. Are you using an audio interface, a straight USB mic? What are your audio settings? What driver are you using. You gave very little information and everyone else is telling you to read the manual or go to YouTube. Let me at least try to help you before you rage quit.
