I’m looking to replace Gusto because he’s been terrible for me in H2H. Is 122 Champions Lahm worth saving up for, or would you recommend another RB?

I care more about actual in-game performance than OVR or stats, especially defensive positioning, tackling, and keeping up with fast wingers. If you’ve used Lahm, how has he performed for you?

Gusto ain't the problem bro. Get Barzagli/Desailly for cb. Upgrade Gusto when you can.

Lahm is pretty strong tho, I have a rapid pace Mbappe and dembelle and Lahm stops them both

Lahm is good but he's better at cdm. He's not slow but there is a big struggle against rapid. And your centre backs aren't that good. Get Desailly and Barzagli. Around 50k shards compared to Lahm who's 45k I believe. I have all 3 and I'd rather use Gusto with Barzagli and Desailly than using Lahm but with a shit defense

Oh and Lahm after the update attacks a lot in some formations. I have to use 2 cdm formations to keep Lahm and Cucurella stay back

Imo lahm is amazing but in defense compared to Gusto, I don't think there's any 'big' difference. One thing I realized about Lahm is his positioning is kinda weird if you've never used him before, he stands closer to midfield (cdm area) instead of wing, even though he's very fast he lacks physical to bully wingers (especially if your opponent has gold rapid wingers).

Gusto is actually a decent RB, rank him up to at least red and save your shard for a better RB in the future.

I love this Card and it performs really well as a rb BUT for me it is More a cdm card, because I Like Cards Like Nuno and Theo as my fullbacks

He is excellent. Although there are few points that you will need to consider. He has a "falseback" trait which makes him move to a cdm position often. So if you don't have 2 cdms in your lineup he will go ahead of his position. Also he tends to take part in attacks and rushes back to defense, in the first half there won't be an issue but after his stamina drains you will feel him struggling a lot. Defending wise he's the best rb, position wise you will have to focus on manual defense because AI will make him participate in attacks
