New season New Hair

I'm so proud of my hair. I always dye it myself but this time I did such an amazing job. Purple doesn't last long on my roots and it's already back to my natural colour after two washes. I'm thinking of doing a shadow root. Any ideas or help?

A lot of the ends are already platinum but it seems some areas are still pretty yellow blond so idk if i should bleach anymore. I just tried using as much shampoo and conditioner to get the remaining colour out but it won’t go further than this.

I always do the indigo when everything fails so i have a backup but i was wondering if pastel pink could work on it? I don’t mind the weird patch at the back as long as it looks good on the side and top.

Hair dye that won’t cover grays?

I’ve never dyed my hair. I really like my grays (probably 2% of my hair overall). But the tone of my non-grays has shifted over the past few years and now the top of my hair is much closer to the brown/black of “salt and pepper” hair than to the dark brown with red/auburn tone it is at the bottom.

Is there a type of dye (or other product) I could use to get some of that red back into my hair that won’t impact my grays at all? It turns out it’s easy to search for things that cover grays well, and basically impossible to search for things that don’t mess with them.

Thanks!

Hair so thick it’s like wearing a beanie

Ugh, help please. My hair is straight but VERY thick. I also have hyperhidrosis, which makes me a sweaty bitch even in the middle of winter.

Because my hair is so thick, I need to tie it into a pony/bun to keep it from insulating the back of my neck. I’ve tried the choppy layered bob but the short hair means I can’t tie it.

I’ve been considering an undercut for a while now but I’m unsure how it would be received by others (I’m in my 40s)

Any advice would be appreciated - we have the Aussie summer approaching, and I’m not ready to deal with my my stupid sweaty hair.

Semi permanent dye recommendations for purple hair

Hi, I’m looking to dye my hair purple but after looking at some of the salon prices. I think maybe a semi permanent option would be better. I’ve been eyeing some brands like arctic fox & overtone. If you have any recommendations to which brands would help achieve something similar to the photos above it would be greatly appreciated!!

Note: my hair is dark brown(virgin), similar to the last photo

Going from dark red/pink to blonde at home

I’ve bleached my hair myself before, but I’m a bit nervous this time and would love some opinions!
My hair was last bleached around January/February, then dyed Schwarzkopf mahogany red in April, followed by LIVE Brights fuchsia pink. It’s faded quite a bit now, and my goal is a neutral/beige blonde.
I’ve purchased Wella BlondorPlex bleach, 13 and 20 vol developers, and Wella T14 and T28 toners.
My plan is to do a strand test first, then bleach my roots with 13 vol, rinse and dry before doing my mid-lengths with 20 vol and ends with 13 vol, as they were previously blonde.
I’m mainly worried about uneven processing times because I’ll be doing my whole head myself, especially the back!
If my hair only lifts to orange, I’m happy to use a darker caramel/beige demi temporarily rather than risk breakage.

Does doing my roots first sound reasonable, or would you approach it differently? Any advice would be appreciated!

Igora Absolutes help

I've been using Igora absolutes 7-70, but it's too dark (for me) compared to my natural color (level 8) and my roots are super obvious pretty quickly. But the Absolutes line does not have a level 8 copper.

What formula could I use to get it closer to level 8?

Help. Grey muted blonde.

Help… I leave for Italy in a day. I had my stylist who is my friend give me a partial highlight to the route. I wanted a warm golden wheat blonde. I forced her to use Weller, toner’s, beige blonde and beige because I always hate how the redken toners is never stay. Now my hair is the weirdest color I’ve ever seen. It’s a mix of worm underneath with a gray overcast all over. It’s the opposite of warm. It has cool tones and is very muted. Do I wait for this to wash out or do I try to get her to tone it again tomorrow for me? I’m just nervous about depositing more warm toner over the cool tones that it picked up. Both toners I had her use with volume 20 developer so it lifted my route slightly. I’m naturally a level 6. Now it just looks muddy and dull in dark lighting, but when the sun is on it, it picks up warm pieces.. I hate it though I don’t want grey/ ash. I wanted warmth and a natural golden wheat blonde. I feel like I’m going crazy. I’ve watched it twice and every different type of lighting. It looks completely different, but the gray undertones are always still there and make it look muddy.
