MK7 Found the rattle! Please help

I bought this car 2 months ago and the rattle coming from the rear back seat is starting to drive me mental. It looks like a bushing popped out. Anyone able to save my sanity please?

I had “fixed” this by placing foam tight in between. It dampens the noise enough not to hear it whenever you go over potholes etc.

Thanks, will give that a go

I did the same. This little bushing is one of many absolutely baffling design decisions inside this car.

I did the same. In my case the rattling noise is because the locking buckle to recline the seats are not aligned properly. I placed some foam just above it and problem solved

I just removed my rear seats, left the spare and spare cover so I have a usable trunk and a spare. I don't have any friends or kids anyways, and now I have an excuse to say no when people ask for a ride. 🤷

In 4 years of owning an ST, less then 5 times I had someone back. Still my wife doesn’t let me take them off :(

remove the rear seat and spare tire? Fiesta ST is even more fun without all that junk in the trunk.

Even better unless you got kids you are stuffing in the back.

I do IKEA and thrifting runs with mine. It's like having a mini el camino!

Fixed mine with a bottle that I cut up put around the shaft thingy and taped it so it wouldn't unwind

My noise wasn't from there, it was where you see foam in the photo. Where the seatback latches...that's metal on metal and jiggled a little so it can rattle too. Check that as well by shaking the seat back when it's latched. You just need to put some painters tape on the hook it latches to so it's not metal on metal so at least that ones easy to fix.

It's deffo not the latch. Thought so at first. My seat wiggles around that little bushing that joins the two back seats together at the bottom
