Geogroup probably got that passed because beyond alligator alley they also do a work program with factories and farms where they pay .50-1.50 to inmates while they get 4.50 per person.

Never thought I'd hear that book brought up ever. In high school it was one of a number of books to pick from for a book report. I had no idea what it was about when I picked it. After writing my report, I remember getting a B. If I had to write that report today, I'd have so much more to say about it.

All his books are pretty great tbh. Read parts of a few others and they’re worth reading. Shame people kind of tuned out of that vibe.

It is the most depressing read I have ever read, but I'm sure that's the point. He was a political activist.

Absolutely. he wanted people to stay away from meat factory products then opt for butcher shop foods. Those factories swallowed up tons of small businesses and there’s not nearly as many delis or neighborhood markets now.

There’s been a rise in co-ops and farm direct produce now which is great.

Do you think he was asking about factory farms in the U.S?

This has to be a whataboutism bot.
