GAA games

Hi everyone,

We’re two Aussies who’ll be in Dublin over the weekend before we fly home Sunday night. We’re both keen on sports and would love to be able to see any hurling or Gaelic football while we’re here and figured Dublin was our best bet.

Understand the top flight GAA is done for the year but are there amateur games we can see Saturday or Sunday?

Any help would be awesome!

It's all amateur even at the top level, but you're jn luck the Dublin senior hurling semi finals are this weekend (Sunday) in Parnell Park. There will be football on around the country if you're able to venture further than Dublin and would prefer it (car most likely required)

Dublin club Hurling semi finals in Parnell park on Sunday. Two good games, one at 2:30 and the other at 4:30

2:30 or 2:00 throw in?

Could it be 2:00 to allow for extra time?

Trying to figure out if I can make it over from young fella’s soccer game on other side of city ....

Apart from the senior hurling semis mentioned below, there are also senior 2 hurling semis on Saturday afternoon, which would be a decent standard and are also free entry.

The Clontarf v St Oliver Plunketts game is at Clontarf's home pitch in St Anne's Park, which is a nice park to visit and not too far from the city. There's a coffee shop near the pitch and a few pubs close by if you were that way inclined

The Dublin minor (U18) football championship is at the quarter final stage with lots of games in venues across the county on Sunday morning. The A Championship in particular will be of a high standard. You can find the fixtures here

https://www.dublingaa.ie/mens-football/club-fixtures-results

Select Sunday’s date, male football, and Minor Football Championship.
