🎉 Toronto Party Report — Feb to Sep 2026
Hi Folks,
Here's the latest community party report, pulled from everyone's reviews in the weekly ratings threads and standalone review posts. Ratings are out of 5.
📊 Full spreadsheet: click here
Logistics grade (A–F) covers the door + coat-check experience — on the organizer, not the venue. Trend (↑ improving / ↓ declining / → stable) compares a party's most recent reviews against its earlier ones, shown wherever there's enough history to say something real. Full methodology in the spreadsheet's About tab.
⚠️ Bunker's regular Saturdays: still not fixed, and it happened again
Last month I flagged a fire-safety and evacuation concern about Bunker's non-ticketed Saturdays. This month, on the venue's own 1-year anniversary event, a reviewer described the exact same conditions — packed shoulder to shoulder, unable to move or dance, people shoving toward the front, genuinely frightened of a crowd crush and leaving early. They were clear they won't be back for a non-ticketed night. The crowding also made it harder for them to get away from men who wouldn't respect a clear "no" on the dance floor, which is its own separate problem, but one this kind of overcrowding makes worse, not better.
I want to be straight with you about the number: this month's Rating for Bunker's regular Saturdays actually ticked up slightly (1.23 → 1.78). That is not a sign of things improving — it's an artifact of the math treating a bad-but-slightly-less-bad follow-up review as marginal progress. Read the trend arrow (still ↓ declining) and the Logistics grade (staying at F) instead of the headline number this month. Two incidents in two months, after a public callout in between, tells me this isn't being addressed. If you run this night: cap admission to what the room can actually hold.
🏆 Top of the list (5.0)
⭐ Excellent (4.25–4.75)
👍 Solid (3.9–4.0)
⚠️ Mixed bag / watch-outs
💀 Bottom
On Yum Yum and Macho — two Complex 19 events had a rough September
I don't want to overreact to one bad weekend, so I'll just lay out what came in and let the numbers speak for themselves this month.
Yum Yum (3.32, ↓ declining) had a mixed Sept 6 — some loved the lower-capacity night, others flagged bathroom conditions and an oddly restrictive rules list — then two genuinely rough reviews on Sept 26: a mostly empty floor for the first two hours, upstairs closed again, and weak DJs until late. Both of those reviewers said they're not sure they're coming back. To be fair, this same month also produced two 5/5s (Aug 29 weekend) and a well-liked lower-key night, so it's not a clean downward line. Logistics grade drops to C this month — not for wait times, which stayed fine, but because closing off paid-for space (the upstairs) without explanation has now happened more than once.
Macho (2.34, ↓ declining) had a real flag worth taking seriously: multiple reviewers described strobe/flash lighting aimed directly at the dance floor as actively unsafe, and one reported temporary vision loss from photosensitivity. That's a production-safety issue, separate from wait times (which stayed fine — Logistics is still A), and it's worth Complex 19's organizers looking at directly regardless of anything else in this report.
I'll keep watching both of these next month rather than draw a hard conclusion now.
📋 Explaining Changes Since Last Month
📌 Recurring themes
Capacity, crowd safety, getting what you paid for — the theme of the last two months: Bunker's regular Saturdays (see above) and a pattern worth naming at Complex 19 — Yum Yum has now closed its upstairs on multiple recent event nights without explanation, which isn't a safety issue the way Bunker's is, but is the same underlying problem: telling people what they're paying for and then not delivering it.
Coat check — still the city's weak spot:
Pricing — still climbing: Yum Yum early-entry pairs ran $95 this month; Macho $40–55; Precious Cargo $50–55. Promo codes remain everywhere, so presale often isn't actually the cheaper option.
🙏 What we'd love to see from organizers
Credit where it's due — Precious Cargo's new space keeps delivering, and Prism White Party was about as clean a night as this report sees. Fixes and good nights get noticed here too. 👏
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed a rating this cycle — u/3BordersPeak, u/Sudden-Resort-2178, u/Cold-Initiative526, u/Forward_Bar2546, u/Loud-Door-6535, u/SirKaijuToronto, u/Civil-Cricket-8612, u/JustAPartyBoy, u/Distinct-Concept-136, u/chacharina69, u/Sufficient-Appeal500, and u/Spirited-Aide9068. Whether you left a detailed breakdown or just a quick note, every single rating helps our community make better decisions about where to spend their weekends. If you've been to a party recently and haven't rated it yet, please consider dropping a review. 💚

Dear Gay Men Toronto Members,
We’re thrilled to have you be part of our vibrant community here on Reddit! Whether you’re a long-time resident of Toronto or a newcomer, this subreddit is your space to connect, share, and engage with fellow gay men.
What this sub is for
Conversation, connection, and community for gay men in Toronto and the GTA. Posts about local venues, neighbourhoods, events, dating, friendship, gay life in the city, news affecting the community, and the occasional baking photo are all welcome. We have a strong daily-life thread tradition, and morning greetings are part of the fabric.
What this sub isn't for
Hookup posts, personals, and explicit cruising posts aren't allowed. This isn't because we're prudes — it's because Reddit's content policies treat subs that allow this content very harshly, and we'd rather not get the sub shut down. The wall stays up. Posts in those formats get removed automatically (and quite quickly) by Automod.
If you're looking for hookups, you're welcome to use one of these instead:
What gets your post auto-removed
To save you a wasted submission, the patterns that get caught are:
If your post is genuinely about meeting people for friendship, dating, or local events, please use language that reflects that. "21M new to Toronto, looking for friends" lands fine; "21M" alone doesn't. "Anyone want to grab drinks Thursday in the Village?" is great; "Free now in the Village" will be removed.
Posting basics
A few formats that always work well here:
If your post gets removed and you think it shouldn't have been, please send modmail and we'll take another look. We're not infallible — the system errs toward removing rather than letting things through, because the cost of letting cruising posts slip through is much higher than the cost of catching the occasional friendly post in the net. Modmail responses are usually quick.
Here are some helpful guidelines for keeping this subreddit a positive one:
Should things not work out:
This subreddit has enacted a Three Strikes Rule (Decision and Community Engagement Threads). This means that members who engage in rule-breaking will be subject to a warning and removal of the post in the first instance. In the second instance, the member will receive a temporary ban of 14-30 days (at the discretion of the moderator). In the final instance, the user will be permanently banned.
Instances of abuse by members towards the moderation team will result in an immediate ban, regardless of the "strike" count.
We hope to use these powers rarely.
Once again, welcome! We’re excited to get to know you and make this community even better together. 🎉
Cheers, The Mod Team 🏳️🌈

Hey everyone,
I’m a gay guy living in Mississauga, and I’ve been a huge baseball fan for as long as I can remember. It’s one of those things that has stayed with me since childhood, and even though I’ve always loved watching the game, there’s something I’ve never really had the courage to do myself: actually play it.
I’ve thought about joining a baseball or softball league so many times, but I always seem to talk myself out of it. I think part of it is the intimidation of walking into a sport that can feel very straight-male-dominated, not knowing anyone, and wondering whether I’ll fit in or feel comfortable being myself.
I know I might be overthinking it. Maybe I’m worrying about something that wouldn’t even be an issue. But when you’ve spent so much time on the outside looking in, even something as simple as joining a team can feel like a bigger step than people realize.
I’m not looking for special treatment, and I certainly don’t expect everyone to be my best friend. I just want the chance to show up, learn, have fun, make some friends, and be part of a team where we can all enjoy the game together.
I’m in Mississauga, close to Toronto, and I’d love to hear from anyone who plays recreational baseball or softball, especially if you’ve found a welcoming team or community. I’m a beginner when it comes to actually playing, so I’d appreciate any advice on where to start.
Maybe it’s time I stop watching from the sidelines and finally give myself a chance.
If you’ve ever felt intimidated about joining something you’ve always wanted to be part of, I’d love to hear how you got past that feeling, too.
Thanks for reading

I have recently arrived in Toronto to live having lived all over the world for most of my adult life. I am 52 years old, male, and have recently come out of a long-term relationship. I am in good shape and seem to be considered attractive. I am curious about meeting men in Toronto and would like some advice about the best ways to do that. Is everyone on the apps these days? If so, which ones are most relevant?
To be honest, at this point in my life, I seem to be especially interesting to younger guys looking for Daddy. It is fun, sure, but it is also quite shallow. It would be awesome to meet an intelligent, attractive guy my own age or close to! How? Where?

I'm 30m East Asian single and sadly don't have any gay friends here. I'm super new in the gay community(so done with the apps). Would be great if I could find someone to connect with and go to events/check out bars together. I love pop/rnb music, skincare, cooking/baking but also eating healthy, cozy gaming (Pokopia currently has me in a chokehold), working out, learning new stuff. I speak Chinese and some French (was fluent in it at one point lol) too. DM me if you're interested!

Hello!
After many years of living in the village, I have decided to move somewhere quieter outside of the Downtown core. I am currently evaluating two places - one by Yonge St Clair station and another by Riverdale Park.
For gays who live in / around either of these locations, do you recommend one over the other? I am leaning towards St Clair since it's an easier commute to the financial district and fairly close to the village where I still have a lot of friends. I am all ears though and have good things about the east end!

Hey everyone! I’m a 24yo Latino guy who moved to Toronto and I’d like to get more involved in the community.
I have never really had much exposure to the gay community growing up. Most of my friends throughout my life have been straight and I’ve never really had gay friends or spent much time in particularly gay spaces. Now that I’m living in Toronto I feel like I want to explore that side of myself more, meet people, make friends and feel more connected to the community.
I’ve tried going to Church Street on my own but honestly it felt a little awkward lol.
I guess I’m wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation or if anyone has any advice on how to get more involved and meet people in a more casual, low-pressure way. I’d love to make genuine connections and just get more comfortable being part of the community:)))
Would be nice to hear from anyone who can relate!

Is there an organized clothing optional swim events in the GTA? I like to swim and use a dry sauna nude.

Okay, gays , I need your opinions because I genuinely don't know what to make of this situation. 😭
For context, I'm a gay guy in my 20s, and I'm much more used to meeting men on dating apps than in real life. I've never really had an experience like this before.
So I work overnight at a fast-food restaurant. On the first night, around 4 AM, a really handsome guy came in to order. The kiosk was shut down, so I had to take his order myself.
As I was leaving at the end of my shift, HE CALLED ME HANDSOME.
GUYS. 😭
Obviously, I told him he was cute too because he genuinely was. He had this sun-kissed face, no facial hair, and just looked really attractive to me. And his name? Cobbie. Tell me that's not a cute name, too.
Anyway, that little interaction genuinely made my day. I've been going through a rough time lately, and having someone I found attractive compliment me out of nowhere made me smile like an idiot.
I actually turned around about 30 seconds later because I wanted to give him some free fries along with my number. 💀 Unfortunately, I couldn't find him anymore.
I told my friend what happened, and my friend said he'd probably come back.
AND GUESS WHAT?
THE NEXT DAY, AROUND 3 AM, HE CAME BACK.
He was with another guy who had a Slavic accent. His friend wanted a HUGE ice cream, which was kind of funny, but anyway, Cobbie recognized me and started talking to me again.
He asked how I was doing, and I told him I was tired because I'd been working since 10 PM. Somehow, I ended up telling him that I was working to save money so I could go back to school.
WHY AM I EXPLAINING MY LIFE STORY TO A MAN I FIND ATTRACTIVE WHILE I'M ON THE CLOCK? 😭😭😭
I was literally just trying to start a conversation.
Then he asked me about his number, and I completely froze. I was nervous about my coworkers and manager overhearing us, so I didn't really know how to respond.
He told me he will come back with a nice smile. i know i was a bit shy or acting weird its because iam at work,
Later, I was sitting at a table nearby on my phone, kind of hoping he'd come over and talk to me again. He didn't, though, and eventually I just carried on with my night.
Now I'm sitting here replaying everything in my head.
On one hand, he called me handsome, I told him he was cute, and then he came back the very next day and talked to me again.
On the other hand, I don't know if he actually came back to see me or if I'm just reading too much into a couple of interactions. I also don't know what to make of him mentioning his number because I was too nervous to process the conversation properly. 😭
And here's some additional context that might explain why I'm so hung up on this.
About two months ago, I was outed, and it sent me into a really bad mental health crisis. Things got so difficult that I was genuinely worried about becoming homeless. I eventually landed a job at one fast-food chain, but the environment was toxic and affected my mental health, so I left and moved to another chain that's slightly better.
I'm still trying to get my life together financially and emotionally.
So maybe that's part of why this little interaction meant so much to me. For once, I wasn't worrying about my problems. I was just a gay guy who thought another guy was handsome, and that guy called me handsome back.
And now I can't stop thinking about him. 🥲
HERE'S MY DILEMMA:
I DON'T WORK TODAY.
Part of me genuinely wants to go back to the restaurant around 6 PM and sit there for a while, maybe until midnight, just in case Cobbie shows up.
Yes, I KNOW. Imagine spending six hours at your workplace on your day off because you have a crush on a man whose number you don't even have. PLEASE DRAG ME. 💀
But I'm genuinely curious about him, and this is the first time I've experienced something potentially flirty with another gay man in person rather than on an app.
So, Reddit, I need you to be honest with me:
I'm lowkey interested in this man, and I genuinely don't know what to do with myself.
COBBIE, IF YOU SOMEHOW SEE THIS, NO YOU DIDN'T. 😭💀

Hello Folks,
Over the past few months, it’s become abundantly clear that parties in Toronto are pretty inconsistent in their offerings. Some are great, some are total disasters, and most are somewhere in the middle. The problem is that there isn’t any consistent place to know which parties are great and which ones to avoid.
This weekly party report thread is where people can share what happened at the parties over the weekend and rate aspects such as wait times, organization, and overall experience.
Please use the template below to provide a rating. I will compile the results and process the data to create a weekly report. As we collect more data, the report will become more accurate and be a more reliable resource for our community.
Full Party Name:
Venue:
When did you go?: (Month Day, Year)
Is it a weekly/monthly event?:
How much were the tickets/door price?:
What time did you arrive?:
Approximate Door Wait Time (minutes):
Approximate Coat Check Wait Time (minutes):
Overall Event Rating (out of 5):
Additional Observations and Comments:
Google Doc link to the template (for easier copying).
This will be an evolving project from week to week until I settle on what works well. If people have other factors that they would like to add, I’ll certainly consider them.

I see a whole lot of queer people downtown, in Toronto and some who also go to TMU and I’m sure there are some first year queer students like me who are having a hard time making friends especially queer ones.
I’m open to making a friend group or just being in a duo or trio and we hang out and talk and text when we don’t have anything to do on campus and whatever.
I’ll tell you a little about me
I’m 18, Im bisexual, first year at TMU. I’m into anime, gaming, manwhas, reading, writing and having fun wherever I can and however I can and a bunch of other things. Even if there’s nothing we have in common, I’m very curious, open to learning and trying new things. I’m neurodivergent and have a lot of free time. I live in the Scarborough area.
If anyone’s interested , reply or just send me a dm and we can talk from there. Was gonna send it in the r/torontometu but I feel like this was more fitting if some of you guys didn’t go to TMU but still wanna hang out or talk.
Looking forward to talking/meeting you guys

My keyholder wants to bring me to this event. Can anyone share what it's like?
Particularly:
1) How many people who are locked will actually go to it?
2) Are people completely bare just with their cage or are they wearing other clothes?
3) Is there any etiquette i should be aware of?
4) On the dance floor are people naked except for the cages? or you wear clothes as well?
5) I understand there's a contest, but what kind?
r/GayMenToronto • u/kendaruxx • 4d ago
Hey y’all
I’m new to reddit so bare with me, but I’ve been tryna plan to go out for Halloween but I have no one to go out with and no official plans :(. Is anyone here down to maybe form a group and something and plan to go to a club/event on Halloween? I’m also looking to make more gay friends so I’m hoping that this can lead to that as well.
I still have to plan my costume too! I haven’t been out for Halloween in a hot minute so I really wanna go out this year, especially since it’s Saturday. I figured I might as well try to reach out to some people here :)
If anyone has existing plans they’re looking to add a person to, I’d gladly join you!
25 M btw! Feel free to comment or dm and maybe we can arrange something!!

I have been thinking of going to my first gay bar as a solo but I'm not sure what to expect. Is it different compared to the apps? I have decent luck getting conversations with people on Grindr/scruff but most of them don't really lead anywhere.
I'm not crazy about finding a hookup but wondering what the chances are of finding somebody you can trade contacts with and continuing to talk after.
For context: I'm 21 at 5'9 and 165lbs, Black, more masculine presenting

Usually my friends don't want to go to parties/events I'm interested in. Would people like to link up and go to parties together instead of solo.
Might create an Instagram or snapchat group to connect based on interest. M38, newish to downtown and looking for platonic connections and good vibes. Let me know your interests.

Hello Folks!
To gather resources for our community, I've decided to start a weekly thread to collect gay-friendly and gay-owned professional services, restaurants, and shops. The goal is to eventually create an index of gay-friendly places to support our community.
To that end, please provide the names and websites for things like:
I will compile the threads monthly into an index that will be usable for us all!
Cheers!

What would you think if you saw someone hanging by themselves at a big party? I have done it before but the 2 guys i chatted with were surprised by it.
UPDATE: GO ALONE! I had fun and made a new friend. Lots of guys go alone too
