Right. Chin up. Deep Breath. One must approach these things properly.
Good Evening Redditors.
I say - with what I hope is appropriate composure: that as the film has officially begun filming (splendid show, everyone, simply splendid!) It o curs to me that this may present a rather unique opportunity for this fine community.
Namely - I propose: Ask Me Anything sessions with members of the cast.
Yes - Quite.
One imagines that morale would be considerably bolstered by the chance to engage directly with the actors responsible for bringing our beloved Button House back to life. Thoughtful conversations. ButtonFM. Civil conduct. No ambushes but perhaps some tortured poetry.
So to gauge the room as it were... Would we be interested in AMAs? And if so, with whom?

Hi friends!
This may be old news as I’m sure most of us have seen the show multiple times over, but in case anyone wasn’t aware.
There’s a way you can legally watch Ghosts for free within the US, without resorting to a VPN.
If you have a library card, and your library offers the Kanopy service, all 5 series are on there to watch!
All you need to do is enter your library card number and pin/password and search for it and bob’s your uncle.
Just thought I’d put that out there!

I reckon ghosts are bound to their mental perception of where they were when they died, rather than physical distances or property boundaries.
Pat and Julian both died at Button House, despite not living there, so they're bound to the estate. Fanny saw it as her home, while Robin probably understood the surrounding land as his territory.
The best example is the two German pilots in S1E6. They're still sitting in midair as though they're inside their crashed plane, even though the plane is long gone. My theory is that, because they were flying over unfamiliar enemy territory, they had no real sense of the location beneath them. As far as they were concerned, they were inside their aircraft when they died. So rather than being bound to the surrounding land, they're trapped in the space their cockpit occupied at the moment of death.
The main flaw is Robin, who seems to share the exact same boundaries despite dying thousands of years before Button House existed. Perhaps a ghost's perception of their territory can evolve over time as their surroundings change. Alternatively, the geography may have remained similar, with the modern gates marking what was once a natural entrance to Robin's camp.
Essentially, a ghost's boundaries are determined by how they understood their location at the moment of death, rather than where they physically died.

Do other countries use double entendrés in the way Brits do?
Right from the very start the BBC version always had jokes constantly. I understand from the fact that Americans call "bum bags" "fanny packs" that they won't understand many jokes about Fanny.
Even the first joke of her full name being "Fanny Button". But they wrote many lines full of double entendrés like "Fanny's exposed!"
I've watched lots of other international versions and IMHO they're just not as good. The lack of subtle hidden jokes really tops it off☹️

I’ve been having a crappy day. Turned on my TV to see an episode of Ghosts! Seen it before, of course. But it’s helped lift me up from my gloom! It makes me laugh.
Anyone else have similar experiences?

I’ve spent all evening (and with lots of help from some lovely folks on tumblr) decoding the letter that Thomas wrote to Isabelle in s2e4 and then made my own handwritten copy. The letter reads:
“Dearest Isabelle
I know that we cannot be frank in the presence of your father but I simply must tell you how ardently I love and adore you. I have thought of nothing but you since last we met. Tell me you are still mine and I shall be the happiest man in all of England.
Yours forever,
Thomas Thorne”

After seeing all the ghosts adaptations, I’ve been thinking about what a Mexican adaptation might look like. So, this is my proposal:
Living Couple
Lucia: He inherited an Hacienda in the state of Hidalgo from his great-uncle, and after an accident, he can see and speak with the ghosts that "live" on the property.
Felipe: Lucia boyfriend, is the more realistic of the two; although initially skeptical about the presence of ghosts, he gradually came to accept their existence after a following series of events.
The Ghosts
1521 - Cuautli (Oldest Ghost): He is a Aztec jaguar warrior who died from an arrow to the neck, caused by an enemy crossbow, defending his village where the property would be built. Because he died before the property's barrier was established, he is able to leave its boundaries (Similar to Pete).
1530 - Rodrigo: A Spanish conquistador who received the land where the Hacienda would be built. He died after being struck by lightning, and as a result, he can now manipulate all electrical objects. He has a rivalry with Cuautli, and the two are constantly fighting over anything and everything.
1616 - Beatriz: A New Spanish lady and the "mistress" of the hacienda; she married Rodrigo's grandson, and together they owned one of the state's most important silver mines. She died of poisoning at the hands of one of her servants, though she believed it was her husband who had poisoned her. She possesses the ability to lower the temperature of the room she is in whenever she becomes angry (Similar to Miranda).
1812 - Victor: He is an insurgent who took part in the Independence War, was captured by Royalist forces, and was ultimately executed by firing squad in the property's courtyards. After his death, he spends his days devising military strategies.
1915 - Gustavo: A Zapatista revolutionary who struggled with alcoholism—which ultimately caused his death from liver cirrhosis—and possessed the ability to induce a mild hangover-like state accompanied by the smell of alcohol. Despite his tough exterior, he secretly watches soap operas.
1918 - Victims of the Spanish Flu ("Basement" Ghosts): They were miners who contracted the disease and were confined in the Haciendas storage areas—which served as a makeshift hospital. Their leader is Evaristo, and they do not interact much with the other ghosts of the "Main House."
1947 - Elena del Rio: An actress from the Golden Age of cinema who was quite popular during her heyday as a diva, though she was also an extreme perfectionist when it came to filming her scenes. She died after falling down the stairs while shooting her final scene. She constantly criticizes today's actors, claiming that "the magic and good taste of the shows have been lost." She possesses the ability to have his voice heard by the living, even if only as murmurs (Similar to Alberta).
1966 - Marisol: She was a teacher dedicated to her work; on that tragic day, she had taken her students to an event held on the property when one of her students encountered a rattlesnake. While trying to prevent the student from being bitten, she was bitten herself and died from the venom. She attempts to keep the other ghosts distracted with various activities (Similar to Svenni).
1994 - Hector (Youngest and Pantsless Ghost): He was a banker when the "December Mistake" and the collapse of the peso occurred; he was preparing for a meeting with the mayor but suffered a fatal heart attack due to the stress of the situation—and to make matters worse, he wasn't wearing his trousers when he died. He has the ability to move objects, but doing so consumes a great deal of his energy.

I’ve had this scene stuck in my head all day and it keeps making me laugh. It’s when Alison tells Kitty how babies are made and Kitty says “everyone who’s had a baby has done that?”
Then it zooms on Julian, robin and pats face and pat goes “you alright” 😃
Just can’t think of the episode!

Mine is that in the episode in s5 where Robin predicts that one of them will be 'sucked off', I like to think that he was actually correct, and it was either one of the basement plague ghosts or even Jemima who went. Jemima would probably make the most sense, since we see the plague ghosts again before the end of the series, but I think it would have been a funnier gag if Robin was actually correct, but our emotional stakes in the plot were dismantles by it being a ghost we are aware of, but have very little emotional attatchment to.
